The staff were rather friendly but my hair cut was atrocious! I specifically asked to cut aff as little as possible but once my hair was cut and then blow dried the hairdresser had another go (on dry hair!) to make it 'blend in'. Result, she cut off way too much and my hair is now shorter than it was 4 months ago. And it is also actually shorter on one side and completely wrong for my (curly) hair type and face shape. I have had to book an appointment at a (trusted) hairdresser to mitigate the damage.
The salon is really small and has only been open for about a year, but there were lots of customers when I arrived which I took to be a good sign. The appointment started late, but the therapist was just so lovely and I left feeling amazing! I would highly recommend going out of your way to go to this salon for highlighting treatment, and I was really pleased with the cut as well.
I was very pleased with my haircut at Blooms Hair and Beauty and it was particularly good value. The staff was professional and helpful and I had a good consultation prior the haircut. Saloon is clean and has a simple design. Would definitely recommend it and will go back again.
I went for a haircut at Blooms, a very small salon on a side street just off City Road. I think it can only fit 3 customers at one time! When I arrived they had somehow booked me in for the following Tuesday and the man I was talking to tried to say it was my fault when it was clearly their error - as I'd never book a Tuesday as I have evening classes! However they managed to fit me in at the original time. The stylist was friendly and worked quickly, I think I was in and out in half an hour (I arrived at 5.30 and her next appointment was due at 6pm, maybe she'd have spent longer if they hadn't messed up the appointment!), but the cut was what I wanted and nicely finished. At £15 (£20 minus the £5 discount for being referred by a friend on Treatwell) it was very good value and I'd happily go again for a straightforward cut and finish.
I got a voucher for two waxing treatments. The first was a disaster, but when i called up to book a treatment with a different therapist I was told that they now only had one therapist who was new. They later called me back to tell me that she was too inexperienced to do the treatment i wanted and so offered a wash, cut and dry instead. Stefano was lovely despite not having the best english, I had a lovely relaxing hour. He offered me tea or coffee (which i don't drink but did appreciate the offer) and left my hair looking great! I was very happy with the haircut.
