I live in Brooklyn NY and was traveling around for 8 weeks with a bad blonde job and big roots. After searching on Google I saw where Blooms was offering an amazing Groupon deal, read good reviews and called them. I got in 2 days later. I went in and there was a lovely blonde girl and Andreo with his amazing dreads. I was unsure of what shade of blonde I wanted so it took a while to figure it out. They collaborated together and were very patient as well since I have a very hard time with understanding shades and describing colors. Andreo so skillfully corrected my hair and made it the prettiest golden blonde with natural sun-kissed highlights. He was also just like Edward Scissorhands when he cut my hair which was fun to watch though it made me a little nervous:) My hair cut and color is one of the prettiest I have ever had. I had my hair done maybe 4 weeks ago now and my cut is still amazing and the layers are beautiful! I wish I could go to him all of the time as in NYC it's impossible to find a good stylist for under $400, which I cannot afford, so I always end up with bad hair and frustrated. I am a very picky blonde and I highly recommend Bloom!
I was happy with the haircut I received, it was a little bit shorter than I wanted but the style was good and the place was relaxing. I would definitely go again (with a voucher.)
The salon is small and very hot on a sunny day. My hairdresser was very nice and friendly but although the cut was ok, the final finish wasn't great. I have curly hair and he left it curly and to dry naturally at my request but put so much product in it that when it dried it was completely crispy and did not look good- shame I went straight out on a night out and had to put up with bad hair all evening!
The salon was small and didn't have the nicest feel about it. However, the staff were very friendly and they did exactely what i wanted. They have also given me a very good rate to go back a second time for my hair to be cut and coloured (i've never had such a good deal to be able to go back to the same place). Very good value and i will certainly go back next time my hair needs doing.
Great venue, the staff were very professional and made me fell at ease. Nice blow dry and style. was uncertain of the style, but should have trusted them to pick something suitable.
