OK so I am not one really to write any reviews as I feel the people who generally write them have nothing better to do with their time however after my visit at the weekend, I feel obliged to write about my experience. It is true, having read the reviews - I was a little bit wary of the treatment I was going to receive, as I had read some terrible reviews on this site.
I am pleased to say, I was pleasantly surprised about how wrong these comments turned out to be! I turned up 10 minutes early for my appointment but as sod's law would have it; my consultant was running a little late. Whilst I was waiting, I was asked at least once by every single member of staff working if I would like a drink (Mrs Doyle has nothing on these lot). Even though, I was using a Groupon voucher, I was treated with the same level of respect as the regulars.
My consultant asked me what I wanted and even with the very few words I had to say, she seemed to know what I was after and got started straight away. She set about fixing the mess left by my previous hair dresser who left me with hair looking like a zebra that had a run in with a hedge trimmer and paid £100 for that privilege. Yes it's true that there is barely any room to swing a cat and I was asked to sit at the reception area whilst the colour developed but once again was repeatedly checked on from all staff for drinks so didn’t find it to be that big of a deal.
Once the colour had developed, I wasn't dumped with the wannabe junior but with the actual consultant herself. Once the colour had all washed out, she sat me in the chair and asked what kind of cut I would like. With regards to the lack of conversation I seen in an earlier comment, the way I see it, I am paying for the hair cut and not the conversation. I find it tedious when hair dressers feel obliged to talk rubbish to me about “my plans for this evening or if I’m going anywhere nice on holiday”. I spend my whole week talking to strangers so I don’t want to make idle conversation with another stranger when I am trying to enjoy my time off! She then blow dried my hair and showed me the final result and I have to say, it was worth every penny and more! To make my experience even more positive, I was given a 40% voucher to use for my next visit which I will definitely be putting to good use when the time comes. What I found even more refreshing was the fact she advised what she would like to do on my next visit if I decided to use their services again. She wasn’t pushy about the next visit and left the voucher to do the majority of the talking for a repeat visit.
If you want value for money with no frills then this is definitely somewhere I would recommend but if you want champagne on a lemonade wage, then this is not the place for you. I was certainly not left feeling disappointed!
This is a great little salon in Clerkenwell. It is excellent value for money and the staff really take time to talk through everything before the treatment. I went from a dark brown to a blonde colour at this salon and the stylist was excellent and recommended the best process for this. She did some lovely thin highlights that were subtle but a good change for me. On my second visit I went lighter and was even happier with the results from this.
The salon may be a bit basic but the staff more than make up for this, This has now become my regular salon and I highly recommend.
I would recomend kristina a lovely hairdresser in every way I had my highlights done at blooms hair salon and would recomend her to all my friends.
Will deffo be coming back next month for my highlights redoing and have nice chat with the lovely kristina and esin

I wanted to cut my hair short and stylist Esin suggested what would look nice on my face and what wouldn't and it worked. Very satisfied with the service as well as with the style. Would go there again and would recommend it to others as well.
Very small salon, but great atmosphere; Will recommend and use again. Very good deal for the half head highlights, cut, blow dry and toner. Technician was very nice; and knew exactly what she was doing. Happy and satisfied.
