I tried Blo Bar instead of my usual beautician as I fancied a bit of pampering without having to entertain my 3yr old. Perhaps my expectations were too high but I found the treatment really average. Staff were polite but not friendly. Rather than a crèche it is a playroom with a TV and my child was alone in there watching TV when I came out of the treatment room. The music was good but was really loud so I was tense.
I’d prefer not to leave my child alone for a longer treatment so I think I’ll stick to my local salon but if I’m desperate, I might go back for a quick wax or eye treatment
I am really disappointed with my experience. I have had my nails done here a few times before and always had slight issues with my bookings being rearranged etc however always been fairly happy with my nails. This visit was different, I was happy with the colour however a few days after they started to peel and within 5 days they had all peeled off, for £25 I was shocked at home they deteriorated! Also, the lady who did my nails made several snarky remarks about the shorter length of my nails and my tan which were not necessary and she was very persistent with her remarks. Not a very good experience and will not be returning again unfortunately.
I have visited Blo Bar several times for gel manicures - this is the first time I’ve had a not entirely positive experience. The appointment felt rushed, quite rough with my nails and aiming to complete the manicure as quickly as possible. Lovely polish colour but the tips of the gel nails look dirty only 3 days later.
Nice new venue that offers hair and beauty treatments. Trendy decor and great magazines. Friendly staff. Bit of an issue with delays but hair cut and style was great and with 30% off in January it was a great price.
