The wax was quite painful, but the beautician was nice

The staff were really friendly.
The salon and the room used for the hot wax was very small and hot. The waxing itself was not great, it took too long and was very painful. She left it on too long and had difficulty pulling it off and required a lot of tugging. This made it even more painful.

The nail technician was lovely and personable. They are not really equipped for pedicures though, with most of the treatment done with my feet on her lap.
The towels used had old nail polish on them, so they were probably clean, but didn't look very clean. It's not a big issue, but it's a small thing that would greatly improve a person's impression.
Secondly, there was a bump on one of my nails, which she removed after gel manicure was done. This left a hole in the polish. The polish on my thumbs has also started to flake (1 day after the manicure), though I'm willing to accept that this could just be my nails. Using Essie polish however, at home, doesn't flake at all.

I showed up a few minutes early to my appointment and there was no one working at the salon in front to greet me. I even called the salon from the waiting room hoping someone would take note that I was there for my appointment. I then waited over 20 minutes for someone to come to the front, only to ask for a different customer. I was extremely dissapointed by the lack of timeliness and regard for appointments made. The salon asked me to wait almost an hour to get my appointment complete. And all I needed was my eyebrows waxed!
