I was very disappointed with both my pedicure and manicure at Beauty Tonic. The therapist shaved into the ball of my foot too hard which hurt a lot and has left me with a bruise and a cut. The polish on both my hands and feet was very clumpy and uneven. Because the therapist hadn’t pushed my cuticles down very far, there was polish all over my cuticles and skin and 2 of my cuticles were cut and bleeding. I had to say, uncomfortably, that I was unhappy as my nails were messy. Thankfully, another therapist at the salon removed the polish and re-did my cuticles and polish as she also didn’t feel the original job was acceptable. Unfortunately this meant I finished my treatment over an hour later than planned and was late for dinner with friends. I was offered no discount or voucher for future. I did get an apology from the 2nd therapist but not the therapist that did my nails initially. I wouldn’t recommend Beauty Tonic to friends or family and was very disappointed with the experience and the value for money.
