It was interesting that I received this invitation to review my visit given that I did not have a treatment. I found the whole booking experience most unsatisfactory. I booked a treatment for myself and a friend. Very quickly there was a message on my answer machine asking me to contact the spa to discuss my booking. On doing so I was informed that we were booked in for treatments at 4pm on the day we had booked, which was not a suitable time for us. I had expected to be able to chose a time as I have done at other spas. I informed them that we had hoped to visit the spa in the morning but was told this was not possible. I asked to cancel the treatments but was told I would need to phone back next day as the person was unable to cancel my booking at that time. I phoned the hotel next day, cancelled and asked that they ensure no payment was taken off my credit card. I was assured that the appointment was cancelled. Imagine my surprise that on the day we should have attended I received a call to discuss my appointment for later in the day. I informed them that I had cancelled the appointments and was told that the spa had not been informed. Strange because on the day I cancelled my call was put through to the spa. So I am now surprised that I have received an invitation to review my experience. Well, there you have it. Altogether an unsatisfactory experience. To make matters worse, every time I go on facebook there is an advertisement for Treatwell. Such a pity as this spa day was our Christmas present to each other. So different to what we had desired or expected, and so disappointing. I have given everything a rating of 1 because it would not otherwise accept my review.

The treatments were brilliant. Relaxation room was very small so not sure if it would be very relaxing if more than one party was there. Sauna was out of order. Strange rule of having to get out if the jacuzzi every 10 minutes to reduce bacteria colonisation but the surrounding area was cold (lots of big old windows surrounding area were draughty) so it wasn't particularly comfortable waiting for the timer to finish.

Thoroughly enjoyed our treatments, changing rooms a bit dated looking.
