I booked for 5 friends who were part of a larger group on a weekend trip for my birthday. They described it as a 'Fawlty Towers' experience. Very rude receptionist on arrival (she turned out not to be the official receptionist who came later and was lovely) but terrible first impression. Huffed at having to carry 5 (yes 5) towels, and tried to get an instructor who has taught there for over a decade to pay to use a towel. Treatments were good, but conducted in a bedroom several floors away. There isn't really room to lie by the pool. They weren't shown where to go for lunch and had to work it out themselves. The epitome of 'you get what you pay for' in this instance, I'm afraid.

As it was open to the public we were surrounded by children so not very relaxing. Facilities were very tired .

My friend and I had a really relaxing time with some great treatments. The only issue was that the beauticians were running late for the facial we had on the second day

Lovely hotel, we stayed in a beautiful room with the biggest bed I have ever seen! The spa was lovely, very relaxing. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful, we were so full after the three courses! I would recommend this hotel and would visit again.

Overall this was good value for money, but I would have paid more for smarter surroundings. Although the hotel was rated 4 stars, it was not of this standard, bring dated and scruffy in decor. It was not thoroughly clean, cobwebs bring visible and alarmingly, a piece of broken glass on the carpet where we did a yoga class. The bathroom sink was chipped; the lockers in the spa were badly water damaged, with the fascias distorted and the plinth removed. Apart from a rude waiter in the cavernous, empty dining room who told us off for not having made a reservation for dinner (we were booked on a dinner package!), the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa staff wore only half a uniform, the cheaper tunic but not the matching trousers, so they looked mismatched bottom down. The massage and facial were a good length of time, however. It was ok, but I wouldn't rush to recommend or return. I hoped for something a little smarter and special. It was slightly Fawlty Toweresque.

We went to the Cheltenham park beauty rooms. Definitely not a spa hotel, nit enough loungers around the pool. Staff very friendly. Ok for what we paid

Had a lovely spa weekend here with my uni friends. Nice hotel, much bigger than expected and they gave us rooms right next to each other. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in 3 hours early. Fabulous massage and we were all really impressed with the food. Delicious 3 course meal. Overall great value for money. The only negative I would say is that the pool area was a bit crowded and there wasn't really enough space for the 4 of us just to sit and relax after our treatments. Maybe the hotel could create a seperate relaxation room? But this didn't detract from a great weekend, would recommend.

I bought this as a birthday treat for my sister. We had such a fab day, we absolutely loved it. The young girl on reception was fantastic, couldn't be more sweet and helpful and the treatments were just lovely. I really feel this was such a bargain for the price. Would definitely come back and recommend.

I went on a Sunday Saver spa break and have given it an overall 4 stars. My treatment was fantastic, and the atmosphere was good. Our room was lovely and we cannot fault the food, which was brilliant and just topped off the day!

The price we paid was definitely worth it!
