Booked at Beauty Place because my regular beautician was fully booked for the whole week, and I needed a Hollywood was asap.
The beautician arrived with 30 minutes delay (I had booked at 10.30, she didn't come until 11am) because the lady I was supposed to be seeing called in sick and she was replacing her (understandable, but still 30 minutes late). She walked in from the street and took me to the waxing room immediately. She didn't wash her hands, or even sanitizer them with gel or a wipe, NOTHING. Then, she proceeded in waxing my intimate parts WITHOUT GLOVES. I have been getting Hollywood waxes for years, and I have never -EVER- seen a beautician who even tried to do it without the latex gloves! On top of that, the salon was very dirty, with lots of dust bunnies on the floor and in the corners of the room, balls of hair gathering everywhere and lots of dirty fingerprints on walls, doors etc (and I was the first customer of the day, so this means that they still hadn't cleaned from the day before!).
During the waxing process the beautician kept on making really inappropriate comments on how my "tailbone is very prominent" (it is, I am quite slim and I also do have a back condition and it's none of your business lady, thank you very much) and started lecturing me on how I should go to the doctor and what to say etc etc (all the while I couldn't get a single word in). Nosy and just plain rude. She also made some very inappropriate comments on my haircut (I have extremely short hair - still none of her businesses).
After she was done, I got changed and was about to leave, when the beautician asked the receptionist to check if I had paid. I told her that yes, I already paid on Treatwell when I booked online (obviously the salon gets emails with the bookings and it says if the customer paid already or not). She said she couldn't check and asked to see my phone for confirmation that I had paid. She scrolled through MY emails on MY phone for a good 5 minutes before being satisfied that I had indeed paid upfront, and then finally let me go.
Having said all of this, one thing is for sure: next time my usual waxing salon is fully booked, I'll just wait for a slot.
Beauty Place, I'm sorry but you won't see me again.
(Also, please for health and safety's sake wash your floors and wear gloves when waxing intimate parts! Unbelievable).

My nails were filed in an almond shape in order to avoid my nails to break (common experience with my nails when shaped square). The gel colour and my nails in general still look amazing after a week. I am very happy with the professional service I received for both my manicure and pedicure. Thank you very much Sara!
