I had a two week manicure and pedicure at Beauty Dream. The member of staff was very polite and gave her full attention to me. However this is where the positives stop. It was not very easy to locate the salon as the name is not written anywhere outside. It is a tiny place without any decoration or ambience. The pedicure spa chair is located in the very small waiting area, right next to some chairs for clients to wait and just a couple of meters across from the reception and the hair salon chair. This meant that during my pedicure I was in the middle of other customers chatting, a lady having her hair done and next to the door, not in a very relaxing environment. The pedicure chair itself had visible wear and tear and the pedicure pool had water stains. The general sense of cleanliness was not spotless. There is a small treatment room at the back where the manicure took place, which was at least a bit more private.
In terms of the service itself, the lady did her best however the product used was Bluesky and not Shellac as advertised. The result was good enough, my pedicure lasted well but my manicure started lifting and chipping within a week (the product had gone on the cuticles/skin, thus not sealing fully).
All in all, it was a cheaper deal compared to other salons in the area but there are good reasons for that. I felt lucky that the technician was so lovely but I would not return to this salon.
Vanessa was very lovely and attentive. Possibly the best hollywood wax i've ever had done. I didn't need to pick out hairs with a tweezer afterwards as she kindly did that for me. While the overall look of the salon isn't the most glamorous, I will definitely be going back as it is excellent value for money.
