I booked for a Brazillian wax, but when the woman started with strip wax I was surprised and asked whether they have hot wax. She said she hadn't realised about my appointment so there wasn't any ready. After a couple of strips I had to ask her to stop because of the pain and just changed to a high bikini line. She did a good job of what she did and the staff were friendly and welcoming, but I think hot wax is crucial and I'd checked on the website that they use it before booking so this was disappointing. At £13 for the bikini wax it was good value, though. I would return, but would book by phone to make sure the hot was was ready and avoid the pain of strips.

The massage was quite rough and left me bruised. I had a deep tissue massage so I understand these can be somewhat painful at times but I've had plenty in the past but this one was very painful. I would try to avoid this particular masseuse but would still go back to the Beauty and Detox Spa.
