Normally I'm typically English and don't want to fuss or moan about anything but I feel I have to say something about Muse of London. I just went for a 1hr 10min Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion deluxe facial and have come away so disappointed.
Firstly the room I was in was no more than a 6 feet wide by 9 foot long- big enough to fit a narrow massage bed in. The bed was crammed against the wall, it was old, uncomfortable and had a paper sheet on it (like you get at the doctors). I asked if I should take my top off for the facial- as they normally massage the neck area, but she said not to. I dirty blanket was put on my middle half and I laid down and looked at the bright lights overhead. I asked if the other massage rooms were the same and she said yes, so I did say it wasn't that nice- no ambient lights, soft music or warm comforting setting.
The treatment started off well, had the suction applied to my skin then a mask, was left alone for about 10 mins and then the beautician checked on me, then she cleaned the room, washed up- at least thats what it sounded like due to the amount of noise she made. The she left me alone so I could listen to the staff outside the door talking and answering the phones- not ideal. After about 5 mins she came back in and removed the mask and then applied two more lotions before saying I was done. All in all, from entering the room to being told it was finished it had taken 40 mins.I asked why it was over so quickly as I had paid for 1hr 10 mins and she said it just didn't take that long- my skin absorbed the mask quicker than normal and I didn't have much make up to remove initially so the whole process was quicker than normal. I just don't buy that- any other salon would have massaged my head/ hands/ neck/ face etc. not just called it time.
She still felt she should offer me more treamtents for another time - 'bulk buy and you get good offers'- I dont want to go there again and experience that, so there's no way I am buying anything else from that salon. RIP off.
