Not even worth 1 star. This is the worst experience I have ever had and I have never been more disappointed and let down.
Firstly my appointment was booked from 1.30-3.00pm and meant to last an hour and half, but the entire thing lasted about 30 minutes all together. I have never experienced lash extensions in this way, as usually the appointment lasts about an hour minimum depending on the amount of lashes being applied - and I booked a full set of eyelash extensions which should take about an hour minimum.
The beautician didn’t wear gloves or a face mask which isnt usually the case, but I didn’t mind too much. She applied the lashes for about 10 minutes and then said she was leaving them to dry and left the room for about 10 minutes? This has never happened before and I have never experienced this as the lashes normally dry section by section. She then came back and proceeded for another 10 minutes, and then again said she was leaving to let the lashes dry! I have had my eyelashes done many times in different boutiques and this has never happened before. She told me not to open my eyes and then left the room to make a phone call for about 15 minutes this time. By this point I was really frustrated because it felt like a lifetime. She came back and then proceeded to apply some more lashes for about 10 more minutes and then said they were finished! I was so shocked at how quickly she had finished considering I had paid for a full set to be applied, which is normally 70+ eyelashes per eye. I opened my eyes to see the lashes were very natural looking and not full at all. I was surprised because I was expecting more fullness. The eyelashes were also applied in such haste that they were wonky and not applied on the lash line and crumpled in some spaces, and the quality of the eyelashes was clearly poor because they felt very stiff and cheap. They looked as if clusters were applied, in an uneven way, similar to cheap individual lashes you can find in Superdrug or boots for £7!
I was very upset at the end of my appointment as I kept staring at the lashes in the mirror and did not like them all. I then went to meet my friends for lunch and they both firstly said it wasn’t even apparent that I had any lash extensions put in, they were droopy and applied in a clumpy way and applied on my eyelid rather than my lash line so were stuck on the skin!
I then went back to the salon because I wanted either the extensions redone or a refund. While I waited in the reception, a young girl who I am assuming was the beauty manager came over to me and said “I don’t know what you were expecting when you got your lashes done, by that’s how they look and not like pictures you might see on instagram” I was so confused by the comment as I have had eyelash extensions done many times before and from my own experience they have never looked like this and been so awful! I didn’t understand what she was talking about, I then told her that I normally get my eyelashes done in Victoria or Clapham Junction and they have never looked like this - she then said “well maybe you should go back to your normal place then”
She was so rude! I was gobsmacked ! I said the lashes used are cheap and wonky, and she said they were silk lashes which is a complete lie because they are clearly plastic and very stiff unlike silk or faux mink which other salons use, but more like cheap lashes found on amazon or Superdrug! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life and I would never recommend for anyone to go to this salon. I finally managed to convince the therapist to at least correct the lashes that were stuck on my skin and redo them. She took a small chunk of them off and reapplied them, but was serving another customer at the same time so surprise surprise she left me for about 20 minutes after applying about 4 lashes to “let them dry”. At this point I was about ready to just get up and leave.
I’m so so disappointed in this experience. It has now been 4 days since my appointment and about 50% off the lashes have fallen off completely. For the price that is completely unacceptable.
