I arrived early but was received 20 minutes late. The aesthetician apologised and said it was a very busy time, and I understood. However, when I went downstairs, I was told they had no slippers for me and that I should have worn open toe sandals, since I am getting a pedicure. But they did have slippers, they gave it to the customer after me? And other customers were also wearing normal shoes after their respective toe nail polish treatments. The second lady who was meant to do my eyebrows kept hurrying the previous lady completing my manicure/pedicure. Once i was taken in for the waxing/eyebrow tinting, the lady was telling me how her other customer has already arrived and started questioning me why i was late, assuming it was traffic and I had to interrupt and say ‘I arrived early. In fact, I had time to make myself coffee and wait in the lounge. The entire place was busy, I understand sometimes treatments go over their timing so I waited, and then the lady came to get me, apologising herself that it was a busy day.’ Selectively ignoring the details I stated, the lady said ‘I feel sorry for you but you should have asked someone why things were taking so long.’ So I basically went in for lectures on slippers that apparently weren’t available even though I could see one in plain sight and it was given to a customer after me, and then being told how one should make queries, as if I haven’t done this in the past or don’t know how to. It was bizarre. I was then asked if I was pregnant, to which I stated ‘No. Do i look like I’m pregnant?’ To which I received a response of ‘No, I would not know what you look like (I guess because I was covered too much?!?) it’s just that you are so quiet.’ Well... does it look like they seem like people I want to engage with conversation with given all the above? Tinting of eyebrows was fine, waxing was just so below average, not even sure what was done. Ended up tweezing when I got home.

Overall very pleased with my pedi. Was thorough and professional, and the staff pleasant and helpful. Will go again!

The lovely Sarah did a fab job of doing my hair while we chatted and i sipped on Prosecco. What more can a girl want!
