The salon isn’t actually that in the picture or the title. It is a very plain, messy and run down looking place that I would not have chosen to go to had I seen what it looked like. When I arrived I was told to wait in the upstairs section by a hairdresser. This person was curt and unfriendly. I decided to look for another member of staff as the hairdresser hadn’t informed anyone of my arrival and I was already running late. The person I spoke to next was nice. She started my pedicure in a windowless, dirty and run down room though and after beginning said that she would have to leave so another person took over. This next person was polite but told me that I would have to pay £7 extra for a French polish application. I agreed to this. She then returned with a geleration polish (a cheaper product). I explained that I wanted CND Shellac as this is what I paid for and preferred and she began in a very patronizing manner to say that this was Shellac. It was only after a protracted discussion that she realized that I knew what I was talking about and reluctantly agreed to use the correct product. She then tried to do the polish application using only a clear base and white tip only. When I asked for a pink colour to be used also she claimed that they didn’t have any because their customers didn’t like them. She suggested that we go upstairs (halfway through the pedicure) to choose a single colour for application (she insisted that this was a better idea) and continue the pedicure up there. I went and when she asked me to look at the colour I saw three pale pinks that could be used in a French polish. I insisted that she use a pale pink colour in the French polish and she eventually agreed. She asked me to check the application and I noticed that she had applied polish onto the cuticles (which, in a Shellac polish would mean that it would peel off very quickly). I pointed it out to her and asked her if it was indeed on the cuticle. She agreed that it was but didn’t offer to do anything about it so I asked her to correct it. She was unhappy with this but did so. I feel that I have gone into far too much detail anyway so shall be brief (!) now and say that the finished application looked quite nice but it took much longer than stated (+30 mins more), forfeited the massage and only came about because I had to insist on things being done correctly. This made me feel uncomfortable and obviously did not make it a relaxing treatment at all.

Lovely thorough pedicure and helpful staff. Massage chair and cup of tea included :)
Booked with Sadaf specifically but got someone else (same thing happened with my sister). The wax took under 50 minutes, when it’s supposed to be two hours. Most full body waxing appointments I’ve been to have taken at least 1.5 hours... she rushed, left patches of hair and then would get very rude when I asked her, nicely, to go back to the places she missed. She didn’t wax me properly and I was not smooth at all. Cheap for a reason. Beyond disappointed and would not recommend.

Ava was great. I keep going to a different salon every month because I am never happy with the result but I think I finally found the right place for waxing. The only thing is that the website charged me 4 pounds more than the actual advertised price outside the shop.
