In fact, this deal is only for putting Shellac on the nails - not an actual manicure. The place itself is pretty run down - but the girl who does the nails is really nice and does a great job.

The salon had no idea I had an appointment, which is treatwell's fault not theirs. However this meant, as it was first thing in the morning, that the wax was not warmed up. The therapist therefore turned it up really high to melt it quicker, however it felt that this caused more problems. It wasn't smooth to apply and pulled on my skin (something I've never experienced) and then the wax was too hot.
The therapist also did this odd thing of blowing on the wax in a loud way, which just felt a bit odd and offputting, and again something I've never experienced before.
The salon itself leaves much to be desired. The room was kind of too small with too much stuff in it so it was hard to move around. The bed was really uncomfortable and made of this awful plastic. The room in general had more of a store room feel than a treatment room.
The final result was fine, but I will not be going back.
