Nice little salon. All the staff seem very friendly, had a nice family feel to it. Everyone speaks Portuguese, some people might feel they don't get the salon-chat they are used to but for me I find it very easy to tune out other languages and just relax not knowing what is being said. My two stylists were lovely, one was being trained on highlights.
My hair had long roots on it when I went in and came out very blonde when I left = SUCCESS!
They took photos of the back of my hair too to show the quality of the work.
I'm very happy with my hair colour and the service.
FYI I used to be a hairdresser.
The woman cutting my hair was very nice and tried to please me. However, none of the staff in there at the time of my haircut spoke sufficient English - they did not understand when I asked for 2 inches to be cut off, or when I asked for my hair to be thinned out / made less thick. This resulted in me having a VERY weird haircut (almost looked like they had put a bowl on my head and cut around it) which was FAR shorter than I asked for. Then the hairdresser did not understand when I asked for her to leave my hair curly (I have very curly hair) and got out the hair straighteners and began to curl it. By this point I had decided to leave her to it, as it was easier than trying to explain that I did not want my hair curled. Then, to make things even worse, she did perhaps the strangest hairstyle I have ever seen - she curled the back of my very very short hair, and then straightened it from my ears to the front of my head. I walked out looking like someone from S-Club 7!!!!! Had to run home and wish I'd had a hat.
I wanted a nice haircut for my graduation photo 4 days after - and have to say I'm very upset.
Also - the women in the salon spoke in their mother tongue the entire time I was there, which made me (as a Brit) very uncomfortable and it was as if they were talking about me. Although my hairdresser was nice, she did not speak any English, and the rest of the staff did nothing to make me feel at ease. So on the whole not the most pleasant experience!
I had the keratin treatment and i can not recclmend it enough.. My hair is silky smooth and it repaired my damaged roots. Vanessa was so patient and did an mazing job! All the ladies are very friendly .. I will definitely be coming back to the salon!
