I was a new client at Barnaby’s. Fiona and her assistant took great care of me. Fiona took the time to assess my hair and discuss the type of cut I was looking for. Her assistant did an excellent job blow drying my hair. My husband commented on how this haircut was the best in a long time. I plan to come back again when I’m due for a trim.

I honestly wouldn’t come here again - Fiona my hair stylist was on another planet. She kept complaining about her foot hurting and eventually even took her shoe off while cutting my hair? It also felt like she didn’t know how to layer or cut my fringe/ top layer of my head, so it’s very uneven and quite shapeless at the top - the part I wanted most to be shaped properly. She also took far too long for just a haircut and blow dry, I was in the hairdressers for almost 2 and a half hours, which is just ridiculous.
The only saving grace was the lovely new receptionist who washed my hair and gave me the most amazing head massage.

Pretty average experience here - drawn in by the good reviews but the salon felt quite basic and almost messy. I went on a Sunday and there was only one girl working who was trying to do three people at once; I felt bad for her but there was a lot of waiting around. At one point I was left at the sinks with a treatment on for about 15 minutes with a towel covered in make-up or hair dye stains round my neck, staring into a rather sad looking little kitchen and utility room. Not very glam! Amy was lovely and did a good job with my hair though. My only complaint was that she didn't check the parting and I do normally have it a bit more to the side but I didn't pipe up on this either so I'm not too bothered. I was also charged a little more than my Treatwell booking was for (literally like £1.50 more so again, I didn't say anything, I think they just forgot to apply the discount I booked with). Basically a very good haircut but I didn't love the salon or the experience and I wouldn't go back.
