The staff here were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The showering facilities in the spa were actually broken on our visit so they gave us a brand new hotel room for the whole afternoon free of charge which was a nice surprise. The massages we received were amazing and the food was brilliant. Would highly recommended a twilight package to anyone.

Very disappointed. Poor changing facilities, cold throughout the hotel, swimming lessons throughout the day and work getting carried out which we were not advised off when booking.

Not being a sauna person I suppose a hot tub would have been nice but I just used the pool and my daughter had hot stone treatment before our afternoon tea. Really lovely day, thank you

There was some kind of mix up with our booking- I had called to confirm the treatments after booking and the spa did not have any recollection or record of this. I had originally organised treatments at 12 and lunch at 2 however was offered lunch at 1 and treatments at 3.30. This also suited us well and the spa reception sent us a complimentary glass of prosecco to our table at lunch...nice touch! Mistakes can be easily made but the service provided to account for this was amazing, staff were very apologetic and got the problem sorted right away.

Facilities are very poor for a 4/5 star hotel ie skirting falling off, tiles broken off in the steam room and pool, toilet smelled repulsive. Shower pressure was too high shower curtain not very clean, shampoo fell off wall, dirty cups left in chill room and lockers all day, having to take wet/dirty towels back up to reception ( should be a basket in locker room)
We were ready to go up for our meal at 1pm and were left for 25 minutes for someone to take us for our meal, never got offered any alternative juice/wine was just given water.
Spa therapists were unprofessional as I am training in Beauty we were given a consultation sheet to fill out ourselves then left to our own devices, when went for treatment nothing was discussed about what we were to expect and our consultation was never spoken about with therapist. After the treatment was done we were left to get ready and no aftercare advice was given now that is one key thing to follow up from a beauty treatment to prevent contra actions occurring for example my morter has got bruising on her left shoulder. Disappointed because my massage itself was lovely but no client relationship which is key and it also wasn't for the hour because I was out before my mother.

Phoning the hotel to discuss what we wanted before arriving as she requested a celebration day and they asked what she wanted to be put on the cake and it was just a simple "happy birthday" not what was asked for.

On the positive side the campaign was nice.

Incredible value for money- I would love to do this package deal again. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were so friendly and paid lots of attention to you- they seemed to know who we were even though we hadn't dealt with them yet.

I enjoyed my treatments however the room was quite cool so it was difficult to fully relax for two hours, I was told over the phone you couldn't upgrade your treatments (I personally prefer deep tissue and hot stone) however when we arrived my partner was told that you could- by this time it was too late so I'm not sure which is correct.

Can't wait to visit Edinburgh again and stay in such luxury- very impressed with the deal. All aspects were great- champagne afternoon tea, dinner etc.

Thank you :-)

We did the Champagne Celebration Spa day for my Mum's 60th birthday. Top class service and great value for money, would highly recommend for anyone looking for something to do on a special day.

A therapist was off ill so my friend and I were only offered one of our two treatments initially with no compensation offer. Eventually they managed to fit my friend's facial in but not mine so they did offer me another spa day after quite a bit of pushing by me - it was just a day for me and not my friend so not much fun! Not very relaxing and the pool area was a bit tired and was also incredibly noisy as kids were receiving lessons when we were there. I don't think they should advertise this as a relaxing spa day when there is nowhere in the pool area to relax and escape kids. The massage I had was very good and couldn't fault the therapist and the lunch was also good but overall the experience was disappointing for the reasons given. I will go back and have another massage and lunch but won't use the pool. After that I won't be back !

Didn't feel like a spa experience at all simply access to the hotel pool. Staff in leisure area did not check in at all and the afternoon tea, whilst nice, required nearly an hour wait 20 mins of which had no staff contact. Disappointing really - expensive swim!

We enjoyed our day here. The afternoon tea was delicious and well prepared. The use of the facilities was very enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our swim and use of the steam room. Everything was very clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed my spa treatments and the spa staff were so friendly.
The facial was great and I will definitely be back for another pampering session soon.
One thing I would improve upon is the smell within the sauna/steamroom area. I know they aren't usually the nicest areas but some sort of aroma/scent would made it a nicer experience.
We ordered sandwiches in addition to our cream tea which took over 40 minutes to come. No-one came to tell us what the delay was. This is the only negative feedback I have about an otherwise fantastic day out.

Overall, a pretty good day. The spa could do with an update as some of the facilities were pretty old but the afternoon tea was v tasty!
