Simply Excellent
Had the most relaxing, restoring massage at this little gem of a spa. It's small and cosy and my therapist really got to the nitty gritty of my tensions, aches and pains x
The massage was incredibly relaxing and really helped relieve the tension in certain parts of my body. My masseuse was very considerate, she checked that the pressure was ok and also that the background music wasn't too loud either. Would definitely recommend to friends.
The facial was very different from others that I have had, but I enjoyed the glycogen peel and the face mask and my skin looked glowing after the treatment. The face mask was different in that it was like a rubber mask that peeled off in one go, an unusual but pleasant experience. The therapist was knowledgeable and efficient. value for money? Yes I think so.?
Ambience was great. Music superb. Deep Tissue Massage was way below par. Metaphorically it was remiscent of my arthritic grandmother rubbing suntan lotion into me as a child. All the major muscle groups were overlooked let alone the smaller ones. My tension areas were ignored and was the large knot in my shoulder. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived which is the antithesis of massage. Massage Etymology: Late 19th century: from French, from masser ‘knead, treat with massage’, from Portuguese amassar ‘knead’, from massa ‘dough’. I was not treated and kneaded like dough, as I requested, rather a delicate glazed pastry
