About

Helping others has been important to me from an early age. I was 10 when my mum first introduced me to the world of holistic therapies. She had just become a Reiki master and asked me if I would like to try it. So began a journey of inquiry, study and discovery that led me through the years to my present integrated acupuncture practice. My training in acupuncture and the Chinese healing arts began with a four-year degree course at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. There I studied a spectrum of Chinese Medicine that included both the Five-Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) disciplines. My studies culminated in 2015 when I was accredited with a BSc (Hons) degree and became a Licentiate in Acupuncture. I previously attained my International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) accreditation in Holistic Massage in 2011. Combining this with acupuncture as well as my knowledge of Reiki, I have cultivated a personal form of hands-on therapy that is inclusive and particular to the individual.

About

Marta loves offering Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and we always receive exceptional feedback for her treatments! She trained as a yoga teacher in 2016, after experiencing the benefits of yoga for her own wellness, and wanting to understand more about how we can promote our wellbeing through yoga. At around the same time she attended an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage workshop with Despina, and she realised that she loves working in this way. Marta values the intimacy and mutual trust that is developed through AYM sessions. She also loved receiving AYM, so in 2021 she finally decided to start her AYM therapist training, and she has since trained to AYM Level 4. Marta has also attended the AYM for pregnancy training, which gives us more techniques and options to work with pregnant and non pregnant clients.

About

I am a London-born and based therapist. Growing up in London and living through some extreme experiences, I feel has gifted me to become an open-minded and highly empathic person. Through bodywork, I have learned to help and guide others into understanding themselves and healing on deep emotional and physical levels. I am currently practicing from my home studio, in Brixton as well as doing mobile treatments. I also work at events and festivals. I assist Despina with AYM UK therapist trainings and am working towards my teaching certification. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and skills with others. I sometimes work on community inclusion projects, some include crisis homeless charity, elephant and castle community hub, and the sensory alchemists. I have an interest in the life experiences and trauma that we all hold in our bodies from the current to the past, as well as multigenerational. I’ve witnessed the profound and positive effects that massage can and does have on my clients’ lives. I am mind blown by the complexity of each of my clients’ individual needs and work closely with them, using my skills and experience to find the right course of treatment for each and every one of them which is always unique. In my sessions, I have a great awareness of touch trauma therapy and the nervous system, helping my clients to feel safe and nurtured is an important part of my practice. I like to have a multisensory approach to my treatments, giving attention to music, smells, oils, environment along with physical massage, as I’m aware of the effects all of these have on a person’s ability to relax and enjoy. My dreams for the future; to continue to better myself, by learning more about my practice and how to adapt it to new challenges and situations. To continue to provide space and a high-quality service for my clients. To set up a community wellness space… To resonate in and share the love.

About

In a world that’s constantly on the run, I’m an advocate for practising close communication with your body and cultivating embodied self-awareness. My mission is to help you carve out more time for self-care, develop greater body awareness, feel more present, more open, spacious, and self-connected. I’m here to help you tap into the innate wisdom of your body you may have lost within the demands of the busy urban life. On a mission to make the world a softer, kinder, more self-connected, consciously embodied & community-oriented place. The world doesn’t need more burnt-out, disconnected people, it needs you FULL. I’m here to help you fill up your cup. I am a great believer in the connection between the mind, body and spirit and I treat my clients holistically, adjusting each session to suit individual clients’ needs. Each treatment is bespoke and depending on the client, can be relaxing, energising, soothing, deep or remedial. I believe that communication and trust between myself – the therapist and you – the client are invaluable to good treatment. I understand how crucial it is for you to feel safe and relaxed and I take my time attentively consulting you and actively listening to your needs. I hold a safe and open space and encourage you throughout the treatment to communicate openly and honestly about how you feel. I want as much as you do, for your treatment to feel great and for you to come out feeling renewed, more aligned, more balanced, clear, harmonious & empowered. I am also a qualified embodiment coach, and have completed a foundation course in Thai Yoga Massage, vibroacoustic massage and Reiki which I incorporate into the sessions, as required.

About

About Augustin I have been interested in healing and complementary therapies from a very young age but it’s only since 2014 that I have taken my interest seriously as a professional path. I started with yoga, Reiki, aromatherapy, tarot, and massage until I decided to see a Brennan Practitioner. In just a few sessions I realised how I had been living ‘beside myself’ driven by conditioning rather than my own longing. In 2019 I joined the 4 years' long professional study program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Oxford and qualified in May 23. This journey of introspection has prepared me to be fully present with the people I am helping and support them in their commitments to change their lives for the better. I am currently enrolled in the Barbara Brennan Advanced Studies Program to continue the deepening of my learning and increase my capacity to support and serve my clients with an open heart. About Brennan Healing Science As a Barbara Brennan Healing Practitioner I provide hands on energy healings. This holistic method enables my clients to gain awareness of their energy field bringing into consciousness a lot of learnt behaviours and blockages. It strengthens the client’s energy to help them regain balance, clarity and come closer to their true self and true potential. I meet my clients where they are in life with presence, empathy, curiosity and a lightness to hold them in their exploration of difficult experiences to achieve meaningful and permanent changes. With a little self honesty, curiosity and commitment you will achieve great results from your treatments. A typical session is 60 minutes long and costs £85. I start with a short discussion about your reasons and intention for your visit before a non-intrusive laying of hands on key parts of the body (fully clothed). The Brennan Healing Science is particularly effective in supporting clients with: - Chronic disease - Preparing for surgery or support post surgery - Processing challenging emotions or difficult experiences - Personal growth - Depression - Confusion - Addiction Please note that I am not qualified to make a medical diagnosis and for serious conditions I will ask you to seek professional medical advice.

About

I always loved how much better we can help each other feel through massage, physically and emotionally. I started offering massage to my friends and family when I was a teenager. I fell in love with yoga for the emotional, physical and energetic benefits in 2006, and I have been practising regularly since. I came across Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in 2011, started training, and I never looked back. I had been looking for a vocation, something I love doing that the world also needs. And I have definitely found that in AYM. So in 2012 I left my previous career in academia and conservation NGOs and I have been a full time AYM therapist since. I started assisting my teacher with his AYM therapist trainings in 2013, and in 2016 I started AYM UK to offer AYM therapist trainings in the UK and abroad. My students have been amazing at building their practices, and I have also trained some of them to start teaching their own therapist trainings too. As part of AYM UK's mission to make AYM treatments widely available and accessible in the UK, we have opened three treatment rooms in London and Leeds, and we are currently working on developing our Glasgow treatment room. Creating wonderful spaces where people can relax and receive the treatment, and where our therapist training graduates can find affordable spaces to practise, has become another big part of our mission, as business space prices have been skyrocketing, and therapists are struggling to keep treatments affordable. Throughout this jouney, I never stopped offering AYM treatments regularly. Offering AYM treatments truly is a most wonderful vocation. I have never come across a bodywork method that feels more complete, powerful and effective in transforming the body and mind. And I firmly believe that when we feel well, we can be the best possible version of ourselves. The highlight for me as a student of therapeutic bodywork is having watched Kusum Modak, who developed Ayurvedic Yoga Massage as a modality, treat clients. Kusum is extremely talented, her intuition developed through four decades of experience, and she is also inspiringly loving and humble. I met Kusum in January 2020 and I will continue to learn from her at every possible opportunity. I have also studied pregnancy massage with Suzanne Yates, and then developed and started teaching Ayurvedic Yoga Massage for pregnancy as a modality. Having experienced neuropathic pains myself, and come across many clients who also had nerve pains, I also developed and teach Ayurvedic Yoga Massage for neuropathic pain, as CPD for AYM therapists. If you would like to find out more about my journey into Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, my motivation and my experience please visit our website, www.aym.global For most clients, I generally recommend starting off with a 90-minute session so we can have an effective treatment, and a little time to explore what is happening in the body, and how the body responds to the treatment. We can then discuss what frequency and length of treatments would serve you best in the future, depending on your body and lifestyle. If you are not sure, then please get in touch and we can discuss what you need/length of initial treatment. Following our teacher Kusum's example, I strive to keep the treatments as inclusive as possible. So I keep my treatmetns excellent value, everything is down to earth and there is no fancy marketing. The treatments work, I have never met anyone who did not benefit immensely from AYM treatments. What you get out of it really depends on what you need (it can help with physical, emotional and mental wellbeing in a myriad of ways); and also on how much your life is supporting your wellbeing outside of the AYM treatments. In recognition of the fact that people are in very different financial situations, my treatments are advertised from £60/hour. I leave it up to clients who can afford more, and appreciate the quality of the treatments, to pay a little more as and when they can. Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is second to none in terms of effectiveness as a method. But I also want to work with clients who value my experience, expertise, and the love and focus that I put into my treatments. If you are not sure how I can help you with your physical or mental health, then get in touch. Or even better, come for a 90-min treatment and we can discuss how to best proceed from there.
