My therapist was lovely, she greeted me and brought me some water while I filled out forms and the decor and ambiance of the spa were nice. I had a Brazilian wax (using hot wax) and a back, neck and shoulder massage. The wax was very warm and became increasingly hot as my treatment went on, the last few applications actually burnt my skin and I'm still quite sore days later. I did say it was too hot and she turned the temperature down on the machine but this didn't help. The massage was also quite bad. The therapist seemed to be using her knuckles for the whole thing and it was very painful. I have very knotty shoulders and always expect a certain amount of clunking and discomfort in that area when I have a massage, but this was painful all over, and I think I was making it quite obvious that I wasn't enjoying it, she didn't notice. I wasn't asked before she started what kind of pressure I like which is the norm I believe. I might return here if I saw a different therapist but unfortunately I couldn't guarantee that so I won't go back.
