It was my mother's 89th birthday treat and it could not have been better! We had an hour's facial / massage followed by a cream tea. The general ambience of the Athenaeum was elegant yet relaxed. The staff were really something else, they were so kind and caring, and could not have been more attentive or courteous. Just a really wonderful experience. I would recommend the Athenaeum to anyone.
