My second time here was not so great to be honest. I arrived early and it didn’t seem busy however I was sat waiting until after my appointment was due to start.
I was shown to the treatment room and told the therapist would be in shortly. 15 minutes later and I was still waiting. There was no robe to put on to venture outside the room so I ended up just lying there.
When someone finally came there was no apology just a hello. In the description it states that the therapist will do a postural analysis and ask about muscles that require special attention. This didn’t happen and most of the first part of the session was spent on a single leg.
At another point in the session, still working on the same leg, it felt as is I was being ‘massaged’ with one hand whilst their other hand was being used to control their phone. It was like the therapist had given up and couldn’t be bothered. Extremely disappointing and somewhat awkward situation.
Admittedly, it did get a bit better later and I did endup being incredibly relaxed but this lasted only 5/10 minutes out of a 60 minute massage.
I really try to support small local businesses where possible but it’s hard when it’s so hit and miss.
To end, the premises could do with a bit of a face lift, damp walls, dirty and stained skirting boards and the place could also benefit with some inviting scents.
- massage overall was good, not the best massage I have ever had. Therapist was very nice and accommodating
- scented oil would have been nicer
- booked 60 minute massage, The massage itself was 45 minutes and I was in and out the salon in under 60 minutes
- this was my first pregnancy massage, although it is required to lie on your side I was not as relaxed or comfortable as a normal massage
- would maybe return but being my own oil
