Brazilian Waxing
visited the salon for the first time this week after moving to the area. Happy to say I have now found my local salon! Staff were polite and friendly and the lady who carried out my treatment was great, very professional and very good at the treatments.
i was 30 mins early but only had to wait about 5 mins so that was good! the reception area is nice with lots of current magazines so a 30 min wait wouldnt have been a bad thing!
overall can not fault the salon and looking forward to trying out some of the more relaxing treatments soon.
I went to Aquarius Beauty today after I got a deal from KGB deals and I had a full leg wax, brazilian and forearm waxed. Despite the fact KGB had ripped them off they were so lovely. Yvonne made me feel so comfortable and gave me 5* treatment. I will definitely be coming again!!
I was late for my appointment and she said this was ok her only concern was that she did not want to rush me she had another appointment and because this was my first time there, she did not want to hinder the treatment of me or her next client. I really liked the way she expressed concern that her clients got a good experience and time. This made me feel comfortable that despite coming with a coupon I was still going to get a quality service. I could tell she has had many years experience giving excellent service.
I was not charged extra for the use of hot wax for the brazilian as I have done other places on these voucher deals, and they were polite enough to take my coat as I entered, and I was offered some water when I finished my treatment.
Although I came here with a voucher this time, I would be happy to pay their normal prices as I am confident I would get my money's worth and also it is good value. It is a family run business and you get that feel. Calm relaxing music is played through out the venue in good preparation for the treatment. I look forward to going again and my friend is going to be booking an appointment too after I told her about the place.
I went this morning and had the most indulgent hour I've had in a loooong time!
Therapist was lovely and recommended a mix of treatments over my hour including exfoliation and massage. I have a recurring back problem which meant my muscles were pretty tight, but she seemed to know exactly what to do to sort them out.
I felt completely relaxed and by the time I left had an extra spring in my step. Will definitely go back, would recommend to anyone!
COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER! I attended Aquarius Beauty today (16.08.2011) using a Voucher for brush and glow. The treatment was an hour in length although it may have gone on slightly over the hour. The actual massage itself was relaxing, the therapist Lorna checked whether I had any medical conditions prior to commencing and during the treatment whether she was applying the correct pressure for my preference. I felt relaxed during the treatment and may have drifted off to sleep for a while.
For an oil body massage with oil I would expect to actually feeling oil being applied, the description does say 'glow' and I purposely did not apply body moisturiser before attending. Lorna did not apply sufficient oil, I could feel the dryness under the hands in parts as she worked her way around my body, this was unsatisfactory. In addition, this treatment includes a scalp massage which was omitted, the therapist said she forgot but made no mention of recompense for incomplete treatment, again unsatisfactory. The environment was of the right temperature, soothing music and candle light created a conducive feel to the treatment. What spoilt this was some intermittent noise from the corridor and a peculiar sound Lorna made in her throat. These noises were not excessive more irritating, impacting on the calm in the room. I would not have been happy to pay £70 for this treatment…no way.
