I had to change the appointment time twice, and they were very accommodating. I upgraded to the Lycon wax, which seemed to be worth the money. The beautician was very professional, and it was almost painless - quite rare! Will definitely return.
WARNING - A SUSPECTED CASE OF DISHONEST PRICING ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WITH VERY LONGN HAIR AND ONLY WANT A WET CUT
I originally booked for a wet cut only appointment online and it gave me the option of long, medium or short hair. So my hair is fairly long so i opted for long hair. The price appeared to be the same (from £25). So knowing my hair would be very long i double checked the price with a phone call on the day to which they confirmed was £25 and cash only.
the venue was very quiet on the day as it was a weekday lunch time. There was only one hairdresser working who seemed very friendly and passionate about her work as she seemed to have built a great rapport with the previous customer. She also very kindly gave a discount as the customer left.
She came to attend me straight after and gave me a thorough consultation. The hair wash was comfortable and the cutting was quick and professional. The hairdresser did confirm with me whether i booked for a cut only service to which i confirmed too.
However towards the end she picked up the hairdryer and started drying my hair. I thought that was a bit strange but she seemed very nice so i thought she just did it out of the kindness of her heart as it was a cold and windy day outside, and i was considering giving her a tip for that.
However, all this changed until it came to payment time to which she spent a while with her back to me talking to the reception staff and pointed out the price of £34 as i have xtra ling hair! I was obviously annoyed at the fact that i have called previously and confirmed the price of £25 and there was no mention of the the higher fee for xtra long hair through Treatwell. I explained to them that unfortunately i only brought enough cash of £30 to which they say jtook£30.
My instinct brought me to check the price list as i got home and was shockedmto find that what the hairdresser had charged me for was a cut wash and blow dry even though she knew i booked for a wet cut only, and the price should have been £27.
Therefore, i returned to the venue and mentioned this 'error' and they quickly refunded me the change, and the hairdresser apologised saying that she was new.
I would just like to say that i see the good in everyone and in every situation, however, something tells me that there is a hint of dishonesty on this occasion and i canmomly give my account of events and hope that future customers consider using this salon should check and confirm the price beforehand.
