Unfortunately I got a nail infection - my cuticles were cut very short and the cutter wasn’t thoroughly cleaned (two quick sprays of disinfectant, not wiped or anything).

Nail quality can depend on the technician you get. You can be left sitting for a while until a technician is free. For take off I was sat for over 45 minutes with my hands in a bowl of varnish remover which i found odd. Don’t do that at other salons
