I have never had such a disappointing facial. I’ve been to Anir Day Spa before for waxes, which have always been very good, so I had better expectations for this facial. Firstly, I was not in a proper treatment room - I was in what was essentially a large wet room, with the top half of my body in what was meant to be a shower - a shame because the normal treatment rooms are actually quite nice. There was also a very noisy heating device in the ceiling and which did not create a relaxing atmosphere. Onto the facial itself - the therapist applied all the products (scrubs, creams etc.) so tightly around my eyes that my eyes have since been very sore and stinging because all the products seeped in. Also, she did not tell me she would be using harsh products like an antibacterial mask, which made my mouth go numb, and I do not even have typically sensitive skin. Another thing, rather than using a proper head band or asking me to tie my hair back, she used a hair net to try keep my hair back, which just kept falling off and all the products went into my hair, leaving it looking greasy. At the end, when the therapist tried to explain what she had done to my face in the last hour, her English was so broken that I actually have no idea what processes she had done. I am very sad to say I won’t be coming back.
