Loved my experience today with Alena. First visit here. I’m always very nervous about getting my hair cut as only usually want a tiny amount cut but most hairdressers insist on me cutting more than I feel comfortable with, which in turn puts me off going every 6 weeks. Alena listened to exactly what I asked for and I’m pleased with the cut and lovely bouncy blow dry. Thank you and I will definitely be back on a regular basis. Soon as i walked in everyone very friendly.

So I booked a last minute appointment for £25.50 for wash cut and blow dry. Anyways I got there and was randomly waiting, then a man came over and asked my name and called me over. My haircut was with a female, so a bit confused walked over and he sat me on what is clearly his seat where he cuts mens hair. Then disappeared about 5 minutes later maybe a little longer and then he offered to put my gown on very awkwardly and clearly wrong way round. Then asked me what I wanted so I explained I wanted a bit off the length plus more layers. He proceeded to say wait a minute, rather than respond. Then returned and said well that is a restyle you've paid for a trim only so will be £34. So I said okay but I just booked a cut, it didn't say trim and yes I want more than a trim. He then said someone would be back shortly to wash my hair and give me a free conditioning treatment and then the stylist to cut my hair. I got my hair washed and this conditioning treatment in, the girl did it perfectly. I got sat down, this was now 35 minutes after my appointment and the conditioner was only on for 3 minutes. Stylist apologised for being late and proceeded to ask me what I wanted I explained and she said I'm only taking 1cm off as your hair is in really good condition with no damage, I asked her to show me how much this was and I said no I want more cutting. She then asked me to take my glasses off and she will look and she started cutting it. Only took off 1cm, didn't put lots of layers in like she said as I only had one before and one now. Then asked how I want it blow dried, I said curly and she said oh that's extra £10. I said well straight then and she said okay, so why give option if not included in price. Anyways it's not straight, and not what I wanted. You actually can't tell it's been cut! It's exactly the same. Got to the tills and she asked for £25.50, I paid and left. She cut and blow dried my hair in 15ish minutes. Quickest cut ever and you can tell as not what I asked for! Felt too awkward to say anything. What he told me was £34, was in fact £31 on here so he wasn't suggesting a free treatment. If I pay for a cut, I want it cut. I didn't select a straight cut or dry cut. Not sure what he was on about, felt backed into a corner by him and then she did nothing of what I asked! Even though she kept saying I've put lots of layers in and blah. I clearly couldn't see, felt no different so knew but felt too awkward saying anything
