5 minutes prior to the appointment, I was called to say my appointment was cancelled due to sickness but when I queried why it had taken until then to cancel, they said my appointment could go ahead ‘slowly’ which I now think meant with a less experienced therapist.
The salon has minimalist decor which is fine but the door to the “private” room doesn’t close properly so I felt a bit conscious as I was getting a wax and at one point the therapist didn’t have gloves on which made me worry about infection control.
Staff are friendly but there is a language barrier.
During the wax, the therapist was hesitant at times to rip off the wax which was quite painful. However, she put more effort in to get the shorter hairs which I appreciated with strip waxing and threading - though I had to ask her to stop as it was too painful for me (I didn’t know threading happened during bikini waxes).
Overall it was ok.
