My first impression was about the environment. The environment was not perfect. But, Ana's massage skill was very impressive. It was not the traditional way of doing Swedish Massage. Ana added her own style into it. It was very unique. The massage was top level!
The stylist had very poor communication - two days before the appointment she text me to ask if she could change the time, I replied saying I couldn't do any other time. She didn't reply to confirm she had got this/whether we could stick to the original time, so I just turned up, hoping for the best.
When I arrived she tried to explain that as I had really long hair I needed to pay an additional £30 on top of what i had already paid. This confused me as I had specified the length of my hair when booking - I wasn't asked any specific questions at the time of booking so to my mind I had provided enough information. I said that I had paid for a voucher detailing a cut and highlights, it wasn't fair for there to be extra costs because of a miscommunication at treatwell/the salon's end. I also explained that if there were to be extra costs she should have called me in advance to notify me. She didn't really explain herself very well, but said I would have to just pay an extra ten pounds, instead of thirty. I think this was out of good will, but I was so confused by this point, and quite irritated, that I just accepted it.
After this rocky start the stylist was really friendly and helpful, and did do a good job of my hair. She didn't charge me the extra in the end - which again confused me.
I would not recommend this salon on the basis of my terrible experience regarding payment and booking, although the standard of the haircut was good and the stylist was lovely and friendly after the initial bad start.
