I showed the technician a photo of what I wanted and she did the exact design I was expecting and asked me at various points along the way if that was what I wanted before proceeding to the next step

Initially filed my nails into a style that didn’t look good with my nail length (I had asked before if it would suit me and got no answer), she laughed when showing me and ended up losing length to fix them. Polish didn’t cover some nails all the way down/at the sides, when I asked to have them filled, I was told “later” (she didn’t). Some nails have polish on the cuticle so it doesn’t look even at the bottom. She seemed annoyed I pointed this out. I also got cut by the drill. A shame!!
