I have been a client of Amia for almost 5 months now. Done several Hollywood waxings, but today I'd say was more impressive than ever before so I decided to leave a review.
My treatment was scheduled at 4:25 and I was done at 4:37. Can you imagine? 10 minutes and I'm the American bald eagle?
Raman was a really nice therapist, both of the times that I have seen her, she was very professional, efficient and tidy, which made such an annoying treatment surprisingly painless and one that does not ruin my day.
I must tell you though, that if you would like to book with her, you would have to be ok of slightly pulling your skin and touching your own ladyparts. As I realized- that is her trick to a quick and painless waxing. And trust me, if I can get it over with and with least discomfort in 10 minutes, I am ok to stretch my skin around my ladybits in front of a person that is not my doctor or my partner to get that wax I aim for.
When it comes to tidiness, she was very accurate with very few hairs still left standing, but I'm alright with that, as in general it was my fault [coming for a waxing a tat too early] so I'm ok to use the tweezers for 1 or 2 more minutes.
NEVER BOOK YOUR HAIRSTYLE THERE!!
I went there for my nails, (booked without Treatwell - Treatwell ) it was amazing, the girls were great, then I did a wax, it was good, the girl was really sweet, then I returned for a Blow dry and Cut via Treatwell, and that was the WORST EXPERIENCE ever.
1/she told me why did you book via TW "if you already came here you shouldn't have a discount" (what a nice welcome!), then she asked me how short I wanted my hair, she looked at what I showed then LITERALLY CUT OFF MY HAIR STRAIGHT ( I was showing 5cm, she cut off 10 if NOT 14! no styling done just straight like she had a ruler...
2/the blow dry: except being painful, old brush, she then burned my hair with an old hair straightener
3/the rudest woman I ever met in my life - I had tears in my eyes when I left, and when I complained to Treatwell, she told them I looked really happy (well she didn't even said bye bye and really didn't care when I left she didnt even ask me if it was want I wanted )
Except offering me private blow drys at mine, or private Keratine treatment (outside the salon) she barely listened to my questions while she cut off my hair " are you sure it's going to look nice that short???"
4/I use treatwell because the service have always being nice, but I think this time, when I complained, except asking me to go back to the salon and talk to "Ali" nothing was sorted, why would I even go and face them for she was so mean and unpleasant ....
All I can say is, if you want your nails and bikini done go to this salon (dont look at the deco - it's old and not really nice but the price and the girls worth it) BUT NEVER NEVER GO FOR YOUR HAIR -
the brunette pregnant hairdresser doesn't have a good materiel to work with, she isn't gentle when it comes to brush your hair (unless you feel losing your scalp) and the worst is paying for a service and coming out depressed.
Had Hollywood hot waxing with Raman- wonderful, painless, fast, as usual. Highly recommend!
Great as usual, cheep and cheerful
I am very happy with the girl who carried out waxing. She was very pleasant to deal with and had great attention to detail. However the main staff that do the booking have a huge room for improvement. I have been to this salon 3 times mostly because it offers great value. However, each time there was an issue which now I believe is done intentionally and systematically. They make all time slots available on Treatwell to get as many customer as possible. This is while they sometimes don't have the capacity and have to ask you go to another salon down the road. They usually make you wait a long time because they overbook people. It may be a good strategy to get people through the door but it's definitely bad for business as customers will not be satisfied with their experience. Please pay for more attention to the experience you create for your customers.
