Arrived and found our way to the spa downstairs, it's is a very nice, clean and beautiful spa. I enjoyed my massage a lot but will not ask for a firm one again. The staff were great especially at the restaurant.

My only criticisms are that the pool had too much chlorine in it that our eyes were burning long after and we could still smell it in our noses, the other is that there was no actual plan; an itinerary/email telling us where to go, when afternoon tea was scheduled for etc.

However I would visit again as its a great spa.

We were moved from the restuarant to the bar and told the restuarant was full but we didn't see anyone in there. Then we were asked to move tables again in the bar for a standard afternoon tea which we waites over half an hour for after being ignores by the waiter. The sandwiches were tiny with a square of bread and filling on top.

The spa facilities were ok, nothing to shout about and changing room was small. The hightlight was the massage, it was very relaxing!!

Loved it here. Not busy on the weekday and afternoon tea was better than expected. Worth the money and I will be doing it annually

Lovely relaxed day. We went on a weekday and it was fairly quiet in the pool area which is exactly what we wanted. Our selected treatment was great with booking very efficient. The resturant staff at lunch where also very friendly.

Overall a lovely spa with some good facilities and treatments.
Pros:
- Excellent massage
- Nice surroundings
- Good champagne afternoon tea with plenty of food
- Quiet, not too crowded
Cons:
- Unmanned reception desk at times, long wait for robes and slippers
- Loud TV playing bad hip hop music in the sauna! Not what you'd expect for a relaxing spa experience
- No communication between spa and restaurant - given a bill for a pre-paid afternoon tea, took a while to resolve

Despite the cons, I would definitely recommend the spa and would happily return.

Had a really relaxing day. Hot tub was perfect temperature. Facial was very relaxing and body polish was invigorating. Atmosphere was very calm, staff were friendly and the afternoon tea was more than we could finish. Hotel surroundings were breathtaking.

I booked this for my mother and her friend and they loved it! My mother has never been to a spa before. She found the experience breath-taking.

Thank you to the staff at the Amala Spa!

Booked the Spa day with afternoon tea as a birthday present for a friend and it has been a full success! We enjoyed a relaxing day in the modern, clean and light looking spa facilities I pool, sauna and steam room. Our treatments were sheduekd in the afternoon and the back massage and body polish were the perfect combo! So relaxing and our skin felt super soft after. The afternoon tea was generous and delicious and we loved the interior of the Aria restaurant- very chic! Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

Had a wonderfully relaxing day. The facilities were great and the staff were so friendly. I had the afternoon tea as a late lunch, and would recommend anyone thinking of having it as actual afternoon tea, not to have any lunch or you won't have space to try all the yummy sandwiches and cakes!

We had a lovely day. We felt very relaxed and afternoon tea was fab. The staff were polite and helpful. It would have been perfect if my package deal was recognised from the start instead i was given invoices on the day to pay which was a little embarrassing but easily rectified.
