Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre at Hotel Cafe Royal

Akasha is a stylish urban hotel spa located in the heart of Piccadilly.

Comprised of nine treatment rooms (including the double treatment Akasha Suite), an 18m lap pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi with mood lighting, restorative sounds and uplifting aromas, therapists offer signature massage, body and facial treatments that marry innovative Western practices with ancient Eastern traditions.

Akasha also has a private Hammam for purifying scrubs and massages, a Vichy shower for cleansing hydrotherapy rituals and boasts London's only Watsu pool for tailored hydro-treatments and guided meditation.

The spa's name reflects its vision to harmoniously unite the four basic elements of nature; earth, water, fire and air. The combination is designed to create a transformational and balancing experience where clients leave with their bodies, minds and souls aligned.

I absolutely love going to Akasha. This is my second time and everything about this spa demonstrates relaxation and space, both of which are things I needed. The two treatments (I had the Step Into Spring package) were amazing, I fell asleep during both I felt so relaxed and the therapist was lovely, friendly, informative and made me feel completely at ease. The facilities are clean, easily accessible and there's lots of space around the pool so you feel you get more privacy to relax. The relaxation room post treatment is a lovely quiet and private space which I could spend hours in. I love the healthy snacks and drinks you can access throughout the day, which you need as the lunch option is very very light - which is a nice change from most spas. I'll definitely be coming back.

It was very good. My specialist Erin was lovely and very good. The lunch was half an hour late to arrive but they made it up by giving me a glass of champagne. All in all, it was great.

Really enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend! My only hesitation was that I thought the pool and spas should have been a bit hotter (temperature was very cool).

We had a fantastic day, made perfect by the the most delightful staff. The spa facilities are good; the pool great. A very relaxing day.

We had a lovely lunch and a glass of champagne.

Stunning spa but it lacks facilities apart from the ones you would normally find elsewhere (sauna, steaming room, pool, jacuzzi)

Lovely pool and facilities. However there is no lounge area and lunch was basically served in reception. They need a proper lounge/tea area to turn this 5 star. The sodashi body bliss was excellent
