Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre at Hotel Cafe Royal

Akasha is a stylish urban hotel spa located in the heart of Piccadilly.

Comprised of nine treatment rooms (including the double treatment Akasha Suite), an 18m lap pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi with mood lighting, restorative sounds and uplifting aromas, therapists offer signature massage, body and facial treatments that marry innovative Western practices with ancient Eastern traditions.

Akasha also has a private Hammam for purifying scrubs and massages, a Vichy shower for cleansing hydrotherapy rituals and boasts London's only Watsu pool for tailored hydro-treatments and guided meditation.

The spa's name reflects its vision to harmoniously unite the four basic elements of nature; earth, water, fire and air. The combination is designed to create a transformational and balancing experience where clients leave with their bodies, minds and souls aligned.

Came here for a girls' day out treat after Christmas and it was perfect. All the treatments were excellent and we loved the facilities - particularly the jacuzzi! The focus massage was heavenly and it was the first time I've ever been to a spa without the staff trying to sell me anything, which I really liked. I would come back here everyday if I could!

CAREFUL PEOPLE! What kind of a scam is this? It says you get 47% discount but on the actual website of the spa it even cheaper! 145£ while here with "discount" its 150£! Never coming back to this website! http://www.hotelcaferoyal.com/offers-and-packages/akasha-spa-offers/week-day-escape/

I have experienced this package and was pleased with the spa and the treatments, however, very unfortunately, I have suffered a food poisoning after ordering raw seafood dish for the lunch that was included in the package. I was deeply disappointed by this incident. What was meant to be a rejuvenating experience turned into several days in pain and what I found even more upsetting was the fact that the hotel didn't wish to take responsibility for my awful experience and didn't even consider a refund. Would absolutely not think of coming back or recommending this place to people I know.

Just what we were looking for, great place and service. Both treatments were amazing. The food there was also good. Slight shame that the hammam was not working on the day we went there.

A blissful birthday treat at Akasha on a Monday afternoon - had practically the whole place to myself. Enjoyed sole use of the biggest and most stylish sauna I've ever met, the deep hydrojet pool and the swimming pool. The very comfy lounger-beds were great for relaxation and the spa has a lovely calm atmosphere. Its minimal interior decor has subtle hints of Morocco. Also enjoyed lemon and basil water, herbal tea, cashew nuts and fruit.

I went at a quiet time (on a Tuesday) and more or less had the place to myself, which was great. The jacuzzi was lovely, and the poolside loungers were really comfortable. Towels and dressing gowns were in plentiful supply. On the downside, it was a bit too humid - and the day pass is expensive.

I visited Akasha many times and this is a top quality venue in Piccadilly, London's top location! It somehow angers me when people feel is ok to rate a venue 2 stars down because is humid and expensive.
1. Yes it will be humid you are visiting pool, steam, jacuzzi, hammam and sauna facilities what else would you expect it to be and how is this downside?
2. Expensive for who? If it was expensive for you why did you pay the price, there are many other venues to visit to suit your budget. Once you committed to pay the price why rate it negatively you had a choice!

I would highly recommend this venue for service, ambiance and treatments.

Took a while for Receptionist to find our bookings at the start and we had to remind her of the inclusions.
Treatment room was noisy as you could hear children screaming and playing in the pool while receiving massages.
Treatments & facilities were excellent and very clean, and overall we came out feeling great!

I had an amazing time at Akasha spa. It was so beautiful. The pool was lovely as was the resting beds. Such a gorgeous spa! It's a lovely feeling as it's so peaceful and quiet even though it's situated on busy Regents Street. I would definatelty visit again. The lady who did my treatments was really good, she let me relax and was very gentle. A huge 10/10 for my experience xx

We spent a brilliant day at the Akasha Spa at Café Royal. Highly recommended. Great pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi. Also the gym looked good but we were too relaxed to take advantage of it. Friendly, helpful staff. Hot drinks whenever we wanted. Definitely would go again. Great location, we popped out for a Chinese lunch and then returned for more Spa indulgence.

A great place in the heart of London which I never knew existed. The facilities were great and the staff were very nice - they couldn't do enough. Lunch was great and the whole day was very relaxing - just what I wanted. I would definitely visit again.
