Not a disaterous cut, but a rather stressful experience and I didn't feel at all relaxed.
The hairdresser cutting my hair must have been in training, which is fine, but there was no mention of this on the ap or when I arrived at the salon.
They didn't give me an initial consultation when I came in, instead hurried to wash my hair. They then asked me what I wanted when my hair was wet, which I feel was harder to explain, thankfully I had a photo of myself with a previous cut to show them exactly how I wanted it cut and styled.
The hairdresser didn't talk to me at all, which was fine, but I feel a smile wouldn't have gone a miss. The owner or possibly senior stylish hovered over the entire time micromanaging, and at a few points took the equipment from her hand to show her what to do, I didn't feel confident she knew what she was doing. It was then styled terribly, to which I complained and a third hairdresser jumped in. Thankfully it was rectified in the end, but I wasn't happy with the miniscule amount that had been taken off but felt I should just cut my loss as it hadn't been an enjoyable experience. I feel the hairdresser in training wasn't confident due to the fact her boss undermined her constantly and told her to just leave it,when she could have learnt from her mistakes.
In conclusion, not a disaster but I feel I wasn't listened to, and I felt tense and anxious due to the management.

Second time I've been here for a range of hair appts and a wax. The stylists and beauticians are SO lovely, helpful and welcoming. I've been really pleased with all treatments I've received there, plus they're great value.
