You’ve tried LVL lash lifts and you want more – what else is out there?

Published on 5 July 2018 - Last updated on 19 December 2025 by Beth Ryan

If you’ve already tried LVL lash lifts, we reckon it’s safe to assume you’re now a fan of really great eyelashes. The good news is, miracle lash treatments don’t just start and end with LVL. Here are a few of our other favourite ways to get stand-out lashes.

  • 1 Go all-out with faux mink

The vegan friendly option, mink lashes are made from a synthetic lash (that's close in appearance to real mink lashes – without the use of real fur). They can often have a slight sheen due to the material used, but their length and volume make for real show-stopper lashes. Best bit? You'll sack off the mascara entirely.

  • 2 Give them a curl with LashDip

Basically, Lashdip is to mascara what shellac is to nail polish. Each lash is coated with thick black gel, curling and sculpting each one for a clump-free finish. It's waterproof and smudge-free, so… it's perfect. I thought perfection was impossible, but here we are.

  • 3 Try Russian Volume

The treatment takes the classic lash extension up a few notches, as each lash is fanned out into different lengths before being applied. Russian volume's also known as 3D, 4D or 8D lashes. (The number refers to how many strands each lash has.) This one's extreme. Sold.

With Treatwell, you can book beauty online at all your favourite salons – simple, hassle-free, and you can do it on the go. Discover amazing salons in your area.

FAQs

What are faux mink lashes and why choose them?

Faux mink lashes are a vegan-friendly option made from synthetic materials that mimic real mink lashes. They give you extra length and volume for a dramatic look, often with a slight sheen. You can skip mascara entirely after getting these lashes.

How does the LashDip treatment work on your lashes?

LashDip coats each lash with a thick black gel to curl and sculpt them for a clump-free finish. The treatment is completely waterproof and smudge-free. It provides results similar to mascara but lasts longer and requires less daily effort.

What makes Russian Volume lashes different from classic extensions?

Russian Volume lashes use multiple strands fanned out and applied to each lash for extra fullness. You might hear these called 3D, 4D or 8D lashes, referring to the number of strands per fan. This method creates an extreme, glamorous lash look compared to the classic style.
