I just tried an oxygen facial and my skin is *seriously* glowing

Published on 8 April 2019 - Last updated on 19 December 2025 by Beth Ryan

      • There’s nothing not to like
      • It made me feel squeaky clean
      • This is my new MOT facial
      • I was super hydrated too

I’m going to call it and say I’ve tried pretty much every facial treatment going. Largely because I’m curious, but also, it’s good to be able to offer advice to friends on what to try based on their skin concerns (once ‘less rosé’ has been ruled out). Next up, we’re talking oxygen facials – the facial that blasts a stream of oxygen straight to the skin. The goal? To nourish my skin and give it some glow.

    There’s nothing not to like

It doesn’t hurt, it’s pretty relaxing and it ticks every skin box possible; deep-cleansing, hydrating and glow-giving. I don’t usually go for an ‘all-rounder’, but this felt like it did but more than just give my skin a temporary glow.

It made me feel squeaky clean

A good deep cleanse is an important part of any oxygen facial, which is great for my oily/combination skin. It felt like it blasted through my pores to properly detox. Oxygen actually encourages the skin’s own natural detox – preventing the build-up of toxins from our diet and pollution – so, it was sure to work some wonders.

This is my new MOT facial

I wouldn’t say it had super long-lasting results, but it did make a significant improvement to the condition of my skin. It’s definitely one to book in for when you need to look fresh for an event or night out.

    I was super hydrated too

Infused into the stream of oxygen is a load of vitamins (designed to get your skin glowing), so it literally feels like your face is being blasted with wet air. My skin felt so plump and hydrated for the next few days – I was extra sparse with the skincare for the next few days.

    • 5 Where to try it?

My top spots for an oxygen facial in London would be The Beauty Box and Cosmetech Chelsea Private Clinic. Enjoy.
