Get these 5 beauty treatments now and they’ll last all the way to New Year’s Eve

13 December 2018 by Beth Ryan

You know when you want to buy something really expensive? Like, beyond-your-budget-should-really-not-buy-it expensive? So, you decide that ‘cost per wear’ is enough justification? In context: ‘if I wear these jeans every day for a month, they’ve technically only cost me £2.50 per day’. It’s ludacris, but it works doesn’t it? You’ve been cost-per-wearing your life for a while now, and didn’t even realise. Imagine doing that with beauty treatments? Plot twist, you can, because book in for these treatments now, and they’ll last until NYE. Cost.per.wear. Thank us for the enabling later.

  • 1 Brazilian blow dry

If you think your hair is frizzy – FYI, that’s no bad thing – a Brazilian Blow Dry is the semi-permanent way to smooth your locks for up to three months. Keratin is to thank; the protein (found in your hair and nails) is applied to wet hair and left for half an hour, then blow dried, to seal in the sleekness. Meghan Markle’s a fan (and so are we).

  • 2 LVL

Or LVL. The treatment lifts your lashes, right at the root, before a tint is applied, to create a full-looking effect that lasts between 6-8 weeks. No need to worry about mascara removal post-party, because you won’t feel the need to wear it. YES, season-ready lashes. If extensions are more your thing (one by one’s are real natural-looking), they’ll last six weeks. Six.

  • 3 Gel manicure

The indestructible mani. Lasting a little longer than shellac (up the three weeks in fact), the mani is sure to withstand whatever the season throws your way. Like wrapping presents, or limbo at the work party with that bloke from pay roll. Applied like regular polish and 'cured' under a UV lamp, you'll be sporting glossy fingertips right through to the new year.

  • 4 Wax

Look, each to their own on the hair removal thing, but if you are doing it, shaving just isn't an option come Christmas time. Why? Because too much movement is required. Stick to what you know around the festive season – lying down – and make for the salon waxing table. A leg wax should last around a month (depending on the speed of your hair growth), and frequent trips will result in sparser, finer hair long-term. Winner.

  • 5 Eyebrow tint

Brow tinting essentially takes that precise art form of filling in your eyebrows away. No trying to perfect the arch, or do that ombre thing, because a professional has done it all for you. And done such a good job, in fact, that your darkened (preened) brows last for around 4 weeks. Starting 2019 with stellar brow shape – too right.

With Treatwell, you can book beauty online at all your favourite salons – simple, hassle-free, and you can do it on the go. Discover amazing salons in your area for your brow tint.
