So your pooch loves the salon as much you do…and ‘though (most) of the world loves a dog, some hairdressers would rather you keep your canine at home. I mean…that’s fine…we can live without our pets for an hour, sure…really….we’re genuinely fine with that. But, on the occasion that you should need to bring the little critter, these salons won’t object.

1 Hari's
Best for: the hipster pooch
As if we didn't love this institution of a hairdresser enough already, they’ll happily welcome your fuzziest family member. I mean, with their A-list clientele, they couldn't not. Warning: puppy love runs deep at all of Hari's iconic venues meaning that you can expect not to see Spotty or Lola or Charlie for the duration of your chop.

2 South Beach
Best for: the social pooch
South Beach salon’s dog (and cat!) friendly policy might well be inspired by Miami’s own famously dog-filled strip. We’re really hoping that rollerbladers will take to the Chiswick High Street next. No, seriously now, South Beach (Chiswick) is fine with you bringing along your furry friends because they understand that as fun as sticking your head out of a car window is, even dogs like to mix it up a bit.

3 Aer blow dry bar
Best for: the Chelsea pooch
Cool name, cool attitude – Aer doesn’t mind a bit if you bring your four-legged friend along to the salon while you get one of London’s best salons blow drys. Their take is that dogs add a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ extra to the atmosphere. As well as amazing blow dries they genuinely love pets; it’s not hot Aer.

4 Blush + Blow
Best for: the posh pooch
If you haven’t visited the newly opened salon Blush + Blow yet, dog or no dog you need to book in, and fast! Located just off of Parson’s Green, this stylish salon feels like you’re walking into a dream. Featuring freshly stocked fridges, throne-like pedi stations, a stylish blow dry bar and their own in-house pooch Pickles the King Charles Cavalier, you and your dog will feel totally at home as soon as you walk in. And their owner Bridget wouldn’t want it any other way: 'As we are in Parsons Green (and more importantly because I am a dog owner and lover) it's a complete no brainer that we are happy to welcome our little furry friends into Blush + Blow. The whole idea behind B+B is that we want to be as convenient, friendly and accommodating as possible. And of course, pickles needs some company too!’

5 Love Hair
Best for: the style-savvy pooch
If you’re looking for a doggy day out in Brixton (with a spot of pampering on the side of course), then look no further than Love Hair. Renowned for all things hair (the name is a dead giveaway), this salon specializes in on-trend cuts and seriously good dye jobs. And they’re also very laid back when it comes to bringing your dog along with you.
