Goodbye Beach Body Competition, Hello summer.

From: Marisa's Wellbeing Blog,

Goodbye Beach Body Competition, Hello summer.

So here we are at the end of the Wahanda Beach Body Competition. It doesn't look like there is a winner (officially) because the scale in the office is so inconsistent that no one can *really* be the winner. According to the scale, I lost 3kg and about 1% of body fat.

Walking away from the competition, I am feeling really proud of my gym efforts. It now feels like a routine rather than a chore and I feel a bit lost on the days which I don't workout. My efforts even inspired my husband to join my gym so now I have a weekend workout buddy. I haven't been able to convince him to come to Yoga with me yet, but I will keep trying.

As far as my diet went, I started off very strong with only eating natural foods. Towards the end I found myself calorie counting quite a bit more-- probably to make up for my week on the beach when I ate like a piglet. During the competition I tried lots of healthy new snacks that I will continue to buy.

I plan on continuing with my gym visits and integrating more outdoor runs now that the days are so much longer. Next month myself and some fellow Wahanders are running a 5.6k race-- this will be my next big goal since I didn't win the Wahanda Beach Body Competition!!

To celebrate the end of the competition, I bought some cupcakes yesterday. They are just as delicious as I remember!

Hi! I'm Marisa - I am a Web Designer for Treatwell.

For the Treatwell Staff Beach Body Challenge I am going to follow a Vegetarian Whole Foods diet. This consists of eating only vegetarian food and avoiding processed food and refined sugar, as well as cutting back on dairy and alcohol. I am going to find time to workout 6 hours/week and build more muscle.
