Questions hair salons ask

Can I really take another client while a colour develops?

Yes. Set the service up by splitting applying, processing and finishing slots, and Treatwell Connect treats the processing time as bookable. It appears in the calendar as a dotted line outside the appointment, so you can see at a glance what’s free and what isn’t.

Do all my stylists have to charge the same?

No. Each level carries its own price and its own duration, tied to the people on it, and a level can be restricted so only that stylist can be booked for it. A cut with your director books longer than a cut with your junior, and the calendar knows.

Does it handle patch tests?

Yes. Tick it on for the services that need one, and we’ll show clients a notice when they select it and text them when they book.

Do I have to list my salon on the Treatwell marketplace to use Treatwell Connect?

You choose service by service. Turn one off and it disappears from the Treatwell marketplace while staying bookable in the salon and inside any packages it belongs to. Plenty of salons run everything on Treatwell Connect and put only part of the menu on the marketplace.

What happens to my existing client list?

Send it in whatever form it exists – a spreadsheet, a PDF, a photo of the paper calendar by the till – and our team formats and loads it. Contact details and notes come across.

Can my stylists build their own profiles?

Yes, from the Treatwell Connect app on their phones. Photo, bio, their own review score and a portfolio of their work, which shows on your Treatwell salon page. They can tag what’s in each photo so their work turns up when clients are searching.

What does it cost?

You can try Treatwell Connect for free. To go live on the Treatwell marketplace, you sign up to a plan with a monthly fee, plus commission on new client bookings only. Full pricing is on the pricing page.

Will it work if I’ve never used salon software before?

Setup takes an afternoon and our team moves your client list for you. There’s a help centre, plus local support by chat and phone if you need it.
