Understanding Treatwell’s commission

Instead of a flat rate, we only charge commission when we bring a brand new client through your door. As long as they’ve booked you in the last 12 months, any repeat clients or direct appointments you take will only ever be charged a small processing fee to cover the cost of the booking.

Then we re-invest those charges right back into you. Because the whole point of our business is helping you build yours.

Why do you charge sign up fees and commission?

With Treatwell, you’re not signed up and forgotten. Using your sign up fee, we dedicate a team to help you build your online profile into a beautiful, bespoke shopfront that your clients will love to use right from day one of your partnership – so you can hit the ground running and focus on building your business instead.

Our commission structure is also designed to help you grow. We only charge you commission for brand new clients we bring you, rather than a flat rate for every booking. After that first time, we only charge you a small processing fee when they book back in again, for any treatment. We reinvest those charges back into you by creating new digital tools for your business and supporting you with powerful marketing.

When do I have to pay the processing fee?

A 2% processing fee is applied to any booking made by a repeat client who’s visited your salon in the last 12 months, to cover the costs of handling the booking.

As a special bonus for our Plus and Premium partners, we waive the fee entirely for clients who pay at your venue – so you’ll ONLY pay when customers pre-pay for their treatments online.

Do I have to pay commission for my own clients?

Nope. We’ll only ever charge you commission on brand new clients to your salon or clients who haven’t booked you within the last 12 months.

Any direct bookings you add in (that’s walk-ins, phone calls, texts… anything that’s come to you directly) are completely commission-free.

What happens if I want to cancel?

All our agreements are run on a month-by-month basis with no fixed term, so you can cancel any time if things aren’t working out.

Is my information secure with you?

Making sure your information is safe and sound is our top priority. We’ll never use your data without your permission. You can check out our Privacy Policy for more on how we store and use your data.
