Alessandro builds payment products for people who didn’t sign up to be accountants: small businesses, independent salon owners, and the teams behind them. At Treatwell, he’s the senior product manager behind Treatwell Pay, replacing the tangle of card machines, apps, and reports most salons juggle with one joined-up system.
Before Treatwell, he advised Italy’s largest supermarket chains on in-store checkout design, helped digitise public services at Italy’s Dipartimento per la Trasformazione Digitale, and worked at CDP Venture Capital, Italy’s state-backed venture fund, supporting fast-growing startups. He holds an MSc in Economics of Innovation and Technology from Bocconi University.
His very first product was built for his family’s business while he was still at university: a reconciliation system, because payments were coming in from five different places and nobody could see the full picture. He’s been fixing that problem ever since.
