I booked these Wahanda vouchers because they were good value and because Naomi and her colleague Rowena (hope I've got that right, apologies if not!) came recommended so strongly. Well I can see why - to say it was good was a total understatement.
I'm normally a bit nervous being touched by people I don't know, but Naomi put me very much at ease in a clean and welcoming environment that's surprisingly easy to find - just behind Victoria station. Normally it's very hard to get a firm massage or it becomes a normal one after the first 10 minutes, especially for a former martial artist like me - infuriating. Well with Naomi if you ask for a firm massage, you will get one, I certainly felt well cared for and it penetrated to really treat aching muscles and tendons. The staff (including at the hair salon upstairs who pointed me in the right direction) were cheerful and friendly so this comes recommended - among the best in London. I felt like a new man at the end and will certainly come back for more.
This place is just slightly out of the way, but once you know where you're going it's really no trouble at all - just a 5-minute walk from baker street or Marylebone Station. There are nice cafes and eateries in the neighbourhood to chill out in afterwards - you'll need to!
Since being introduced to these people via Wahanda, I've returned about a half-dozen times. Simple, pleasant and friendly facilities, clean and welcoming - lovely cheerful girls, polite and courteous - a super deep massage delivered by firm, confident hands. They'll use feet and elbows also, but only after securing your permission. They offered myself and another guest as many glasses of chilled water as we needed when we arrived - I've mentioned in a previous review that during the 2013 London heatwave, I was given robes and towels and a chance to use the power shower. Small touches like that help make this place - but the core product they deliver is a first-class massage therapy.
The prices are very reasonable for London especially with the Wahanda discount, and from being sceptical in the beginning I come to this place about once a month for some preventative maintenance. I am a keen amateur squash player and this place helps keep me on form.
Nice and pleasant place with good staff, I certainly felt cared for and supported when I was nervous. Felt so light and clean afterwards and the feeling lasted for ages, skin flushed bright and clean too. Thank you!
Once again, a really satisfying firm and deep massage delivered by skilled and attentive hands - in a pleasant and welcoming environment I'll look forward to visiting again. This place really is a winner with very competitive prices for London, and the professional and friendly staff make a newcomer feel at ease - I tend to go for the 90 minute massage but have occasionally indulged with the two-hour 'blockbuster'.
Once you know where it is - a 5 minute walk from Marylebone station, just above the Salt cafe by the road hump over the railway and accessed through a small gym where they know where to point you. It's easily found and has been of great help with an old sports injury.
Nice little location in a leafy area behind Victoria station, pleasant to sit and absorb the post-massage effects with a mineral water in a nice pub afterwards. In short: excellent service and top value especially for central London, friendly and relaxed service, they take good care of you and put you at ease. Deep, firm pressure and they aren't afraid to press harder if you ask. I was tired and twisted and two days off a plane, and left feeling light and invigorated. I will certainly return. a little gem of a place I am pleased to recommend - and no, I don't work there or have any sort of business relationship with anyone who does!
I eagerly snapped up this deal on Wahanda, but despite high expectations didn't think it could possibly measure up to the glowingly strong endorsements - a bit of exaggeration in there, surely. However I was wrong, wrong, wrong and cannot recommend this place strongly enough.
It is easily accessible through a gym down the side of the Salt cafe, in a pleasant corner of Marylebone behind the railway station - I later had a light lunch in a pub in the leafy neighbourhood. I was rather nervous, but the cheerful and courteous girls put me at ease and told me what to do. It was the height of this summer's sweltering heatwave and I'd been trapped perspiring on the tube, and totally unbidden by me they brought me a gown and towels and took me to have a shower - nice cool power shower in a bamboo room it was too. I was then shown to a pleasant candlelit room and told to change.
The massage was heavenly, deep and firm and thorough by cheerful and confident therapists. Excellent pressure, they twist and stretch you and walk your back too although they are ever careful and ask you first, keen to remain within your tolerance levels. Starting at the feet, I had every knot and adhesion in my body worked out. I was really exhausted and worn out after a job interview and long flight, was pretty clumsy and tired but the girls were kind and gentle and I felt like a new man afterwards - and immediately booked another. It gets full stars.
This really is a great place and the best massage in London, without dispute, and delivered by cheerful and professional therapists who make the tired or nervous guest welcome. Starting as a cynic, I have since had several massages there and would recommend at least the 90 minute one - if you have an hour, like me you will wish you'd had longer!
I visited this place four times in total over a month's home leave in the UK, and couldn't be more pleased with it each time. I am just adding here that all the positives mentioned in my previous review and that of others, have been consistent features and not a lucky 'one'off' as I first wondered - the friendly welcome, the excellent service, the professional therapists and the deep healing massage. After two visits I felt like I had a new body. They always took careful account of my comfort, but weren't afraid to be deep and robust when it was needed.
I agree with other reviewers that the gym seems empty or at least quiet whenever I go by, but that may be by design as some nice apartments are nearby and the denizens may not want a crowded Fitness First etc.
When you go upstairs you are transported into a cool oasis of peace - it's very nice. Music may well be from a discreet Ipod with speakers, I didn't notice tbh, but if the eastern music is soothing, surrounds pleasant and the therapies top-notch I'm happy to not be paying the overheads for a stereo system playing elevator music, however good. The prices are very good for Central London too. Again, I was a cynic who has been converted and will be returning this this place when I'm next back in the UK.
