I purchased two vouchers for acupuncture and massage. I visited the Mortimer Street clinic, treatment rooms were basic but clean. Although you couldn't really relax, as you could hear the noise from outside. The acupuncture and massage treatment was very relaxing. Although what put me off is the towel given to you to cover yourself during the treatment, looked like it had been used for several clients. Based on the noise and the basic rooms, I would not pay for a full price treatment at the Chi Clinic.
I visited Aqua Sheko with a friend for the fish pedicure treatment. The venue was clean and modern, although the treatment itself was a bit weird, but I got used to the tickly feeling of the fish after a few minutes. I liked the fact that they offered a selection of teas to have during your treatment. Afterwards my feet were soft and I had a lovely therapist who gave me a 20 min foot massage. Not sure, if I would continue to have regular fish pedicures, but I definitely recommend trying it. Overall I would recommend!
I visited the Aurora Spa for an aromatherapy massage, the venue itself it very nice and modern. I had a lovely therapist who made feel at ease. Unfortunately the experience was slightly ruined by the fact, I could hear people working out in the gym, so it was hard to completely switch off and relax. Overall my massage was very good and the therapist apologised about the noise and offered me a £10 voucher off my next treatment.
I have visited this venue twice on a Friday after work and I have been seen straight away. The Benito brow bar in Debenhams, Oxford Street is nicely tucked away at the back of the ground floor, so unlike other department store brow bars, you don’t not feel you like sitting in the middle of the shop floor (which iIhate). The therapist was very nice and she took her time threading my eyebrows.
As I had a problem with in-growing hair, she advised me not to pluck my eyebrows in between visits and I have already noticed a difference. I would definitely go back to get my eyebrows threaded again.
The Clear Light Centre is conveniently located in Holborn, a little tricky to find as it under a hair salon. The clinic it self is clean but very basic looking which is a bit disappointing, as I think most people like to be in a luxurious setting when having a beauty treatment done. I went for a milk peel, which is very quick procedure and slightly uncomfortable due to the stinging of the peel. My therapist Jana was lovely and very knowledgeable about the procedure, which made me feel at ease. The clinic offered me a deal to buy glycolic products and further peel treatments; however I wanted to see the results of the peel before I committed to buying a course of peels. A few days after the peel, my skin started to peel and I noticed that my acne marks were beginning to fade. I have since bought a course of peel and after care products and I’m pleased with the results.
I have been going to Beauty Essence Soho and Mayfair for over 5 years now, however this was my first time to the city salon. I went on a Saturday for Guinot Hydradermie, my experience of the Beauty Essence therapists has always been really good as they are really friendly and very good at what they do and the City salon did not disappoint!! I had a lovely therapist who did my facial and also gave me advice on beauty products to use. Overall I would definitely recommend the city branch!
