Without doubt one of the best massages I have ever had! My therapist, Betty, is clearly highly trained; she shows care and understanding for what is needed and what should be avoided. The end result was a thorough work through some very tense muscles and I felt hugely better for it. Needless to say, as with all good treatments, I ached the next 2 days - always proof of a good massage. The small draw back is the setting: the basement of a hairdressing salon. A very small, steep staircase leads to a warren of small treatment rooms. Despite that, the girls do their best to create a pleasant environment, they are welcoming, offer water or tea and genuinely look after their clients. These premises are obviously the start of their business together; I am certain they will do very well in their profession and expect that one day they'll be those much sought-after therapists one reads about in the newspaper. I wish them well, but I hope to have a few more treatments there before they are out of my league . Thank you
Wonderful facial. My skin really glowed and the effect lasted for some time. The treatment room was basic, but the therapy couch luxuriant, it even boasted an electric blanket - on a miserable London winter's day, this was bliss and I drifted off on a cosy cloud whilst being beautified. Very enjoyable and would love to go back for more.
Rebecca did an excellent job and it was one of the best cuts I've had in a long time. She really knows her stuff and applied all the tricks to make my hair look better and more groomed, despite keeping much of the length and style. The salon is madly hectic and it feels a little claustrophobic; not much room around the seats and lots of people flapping about, so it's not a leisurely or pampering experience. In addition, my shampooist must have been on speed, it was one of the most frantic shampoo/massages ever. Nonetheless, I was very please with the outcome.
My therapist, Louise, was excellent. She did everything to make the whole experience very pleasurable incl. a wonderful foot massage whilst the mask was working. The only reason I couldn't quite give 5 Stars is that the result of the facial wasn't quite as good as one might expect. This could be simply that Dermalogica products don't work so well for me; I didn't have that glow or deeply moisturised feeling. For anyone keen on the brand, Louise is definitely the therapist for you.
Fantastic. This therapist knows her stuff; she really cares and ensures that results far exceed expectations - and the effects lasted quite a while. I'm a treatment groupie, facials being my favourite, but Adrienne is in a league of her own and I'll probably find others disappointing from now on. No problem though, I've already booked my next appointment with her and can't wait to go back. The only negative thing is that this review will make her even more popular and I'd really prefer to keep her my secret.
P.S. Don't panic about the building site opposite; I'm very noise sensitive and feared that the treatment won't be very relaxing, but Adrienne magically set up the room, the music and I know not what, but I was only very faintly aware of the noise outside and the treatment experience was very relaxing indeed.
Very enjoyable facial, skin was left dewy and deeply moisturised. The hand massage was a wonderful extra and hand were left super soft following the hot mitten treatment. Very much like to go back - I hope to hear detail of their new salon, once they've moved.
The facial and back massage were excellent; not only enjoyable at the time, but effects lasted for a few days. Monique is enthusiastic about her new location, which meant she talked rather more than was welcome which in turn made the experience less relaxing than it should have been. The environment sadly is far from opulent as it all takes place in a small room which was originally set up as an office space (and is surrounded by other offices). I also felt that hygiene might be improved,; towels were obviously not changed from previous client - or only partially changed and I had to ask to have the 'face hole' covered in tissue before she started the massage. Nonetheless, she is a confident and competent therapist and most definitely worth a try, esp. for a special offer. Would probably not pay full price unless the environment and other points mentioned above are satisfactorily addressed.
Pleasant facial, although the therapist was a little too enthusiastic with the exfoliation for my delicate skin. Nonetheless, in all it was an enjoyable experience. Very handy location for transport, too.
Salon was empty except me, so it felt cold and sterile. Hair cut was ok, though my original style didn't really get the new tidy look I had hoped for - my fringe is still all wrong and has different lengths - just as it was when I chopped it myself! Manicure was ok, but there was nothing luxurious about it - not even a proper hand massage. Hence value for money ok at special offer, but would not really pay much more.
Excellent facial; skin felt really plump and pampered afterwards, the inclusive special hand heat treatment was the best I've had: hands felt very soft and hydrated for long time. In addition, the therapist was really lovely; the whole experience was most enjoyable and I hope to go again before too long. Having thought the Erno Laszlo brand had gone the way of all flesh, I was pleasantly suprised to find it back on the scene.
