The body salt scrub was over very quickly. I was able to use the facilities (sauna and steam room) but I would not have paid the full price.
Overall, it did not feel like a pampering experience as it had been described
This was my second visit to the spa and the experience was just as enjoyable as the first.
This time my friend and I had went for the Pure Time Spa package which included the steam temple experience, a massage and a facial. We also chose to have a pedicure as well.
We had the use of the VIP room for the whole day where we could relax after our treatments with a glass of champagne which was an added bonus.
The ambience at the venue is really tranquil and relaxing. The staff are very professional and we left feeling really pampered and rejuvenated. It's a great place for a special occasion or a treat.
I was rather disappointed having read previous reviews of this place.
The venue itself is not bad but the treatment room was tiny and very hot so didn't feel particularly comfortable.
I found the therapist quite aloof and it just felt like a conveyor belt with no personal touches.
The treatment itself was no better or worse than any other I've had and I was happy with the result but it wasn't a great experience.
I had the semi-permanent eyebrow treatment with Penny who was really lovely and explained all the details and after care, etc.
The treatment itself wasn't painful as a numbing cream was applied.
I was really pleased with the shape and colour of my eyebrows afterwards and there wasn't much swelling.
There was slight scabbing a few days later and when it came off, the colour underneath appeared quite faint. A couple of weeks later, I have started to use a little bit of eye pencil but will go for a follow up in a few weeks. Hopefully after that the colour will be stronger and last for months!
Not the best place for a facial as normally you'd expect the experience to be relaxing and pampering. However, that is not possible in a tiny room in the middle of a busy hair salon, with conversations all around and two different types of music playing.
The facial itself was quite good, although it wasn't based on my skin type/needs, just general.
The best part was the shoulder/neck massage.
Having to undress in front of the therapist was rather strange but it is a very tiny space.
Perfectly adequate for a manicure but not really suitable for a facial or massage.
I would never pay the full price.
I'm really glad I found out about Adrienne through this site as I probably wouldn't have otherwise. This was a totally different experience to my previous facials/beauty treatments but it is more about focusing on problem areas rather than pure pampering.
Adrienne is clearly very experienced and you feel safe in the knowledge that she will do what's best for your skin.
I'd had the rejuvenating and anti-pigmentation IPL treatment which really seemed to work, even after one session, and I will be going back for further treatments.
This was one of the very few instances that I'd left the salon looking different to the way I went in.
My stylist - Jade - knew exactly what cut would suit me and wasn't afraid to experiment a little.
I was very happy with the end result and will definitely go back.
The venue itself is quite small and not exactly swanky or as glamorous as some other salons I've been to but the staff are great and being offered a glass of wine in addition to a great service always helps!
I previously visited the Covent Garden venue but was glad to discover they had a new location in Canary Wharf. The venue is very tiny with a virtually non-existent waiting room but the facilities are perfectly adequate and the staff friendly and polite.
The hygiene session was pretty standard but if your teeth are in a good condition then you don't really notice much difference.
I will definitely return in the future.
This was my second visit and I was just as satisfied as previously. Despite the fact that the place is very tiny and the treatment rooms very hot, I cannot fault the experience. The staff are very friendly and professional and the products used are of high quality.
Their prices are quite prohibitive however, you do feel you get value for money.
An unusual idea to share a hair salon with a vintage clothes shop but it allows you to have a browse while you're waiting as well as creating a trendy atmosphere.
My stylist - Emma - was lovely and seemed to have a good idea about the most suitable cut for me and also provided advice on colour.
Overall, a very good experience and I would definitely return.
