Being a HUGE lover of both music and fitness, Tempo Pilates hit the spot for me in the sea of fitness classes available to Londoners. Following my first ever class @ the WC2 studios I knew I would be hooked. I love my fitness classes to work me hard enough to feel like I've done a substantial workout and that's what Tempo Pilates did. The combination of stretching, toning and movement leaves you feeling like you're en route to a better, more toned, lengthened and scupltured you. As a music business professional I also love the considered, current and edgy selection of tracks that are played during the classes, which I feel most fitness classes miss. I will and have recommended Tempo Pilates to anyone who asks.
since having my baby I felt very low in confidence when it came to my body. being a hairdresser I have always kept on the move and just felt so sluggish. Keith was amazing and really helped me overcome this by motivating me in various circuit training workouts and every week we changed something to help my fitness levels and to keep it interesting. he supported me all the way and I now weigh under 9 stone 8 weeks post baby.
I think his prices are great value for money especially for the facilities also its so nice to relax within the Hiltons facilities after a workout and to de stress from life in general.
I now run almost every day to the gym, do a workoput swim and run home. never thought id see myself with so much motivation in fitness again!
I visited with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary on March the 25th. One of the best therapies you can get at Little jasmine Therapies in Brighton is their couples massage treatments (especially the Thai fusion one). They have great big rooms with lovely decoration and cool ambience. They offered us herbal tea and slippers which I found quite cute. Overall the prices are very affordable and the staff very competent.
It was a lovely experience. I have suggested it to several of my friends and would probably do it again! the excercise was nice, the outdoor environment was pleasant, the trainer was professional and very nice. It was all very lovely.
There are many pros to taking a course at Splash. Firstly, everyone gets one spinny pole each. This is definitely not the norm (most other schools are 2-3 students per pole) so it's fantastic to have the full time to learn as opposed to standing around waiting! (plus I've been told that learning on a spinning pole is better than a static, though I can't vouch for this myself). On my first lesson they overbooked by mistake and I had to share a pole with the teacher, so I couldn't follow as she demoed - they apologised for this and actually gave me an extra class later the same week to make up for it. You also get a good full-hour's workout - a good warm-up to start and the last 10min are dedicated to core-work and stretching. In the last 2 weeks they bought a different teacher in to do the last part and she was really excellent.
The cons are that there are so many students that you don't really get enough attention from the one teacher. Whenever I had trouble I had to go and flag her down, and even then, I didn't always get the help I needed with the moves. As for facilities, the mirrors are stick-on so you can't really see what you're doing properly and there's no changing room - just tiny space with black curtain. But really these are pretty minor gripes when it comes to the full experience at such a central location, which was amazingly awesome value with the Wahanda voucher.
I did notice the numbers dwindling a bit over the 6 weeks of the course so I would definitely urge people to stick with it after starting: only in my 4th week were my arms strong enough to start doing moves properly (the first 3 weeks was full of disheartening falling off)! Many even managed to go upside down on the last class and although I didn't quite manage it, it's definitely whetted my appetite to take up this fun and unusual hobby.
A friend and I went to Elite Health and Fitness Personal Training Studios to try out the Garra 'fish' pedicure. The facilities and staff where brilliant. Would highly recommend this venue which has is much more personal than a lot of the large gyms.
Was very impressed by both the facilities as well as the friendliness of the staff. The treatment exceeded my expectations. Excellent value for money and would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
Not sure if the fish pedicure really made a huge difference - especially if you have tough feet. Best if u get a pedicure beforehand, and then have this as more of a exfoliator - then it is great.
