Pole school is lovely reason for one star is Wahanda issuing voucher for when dance school was shut. Very good staff in helping to resolve issue directly with wahanda
I just want to say Absolutely amazing. I started learning pole fitness with Pussycat Poles 3 years ago. It has really improved my Body shape and confidence. I have gained so much from learning pole fitness. I started with a class once a week. I now go 2-3 times a week and I keep my flexibility up by attending a stretch and flexibility class 2 times a week. Pussycat Poles have also started teaching Aerial silks, rope and hoop classes which I now attend once a week for 2 hours. Pussycat Poles is a class designed for all shapes and sizes from age 18+.
They are the biggest school in Kent.teaching from level 1-14. They have 8 schools in the area.
Thank you so much pussycat poles for helping my achieve so much.
Terrible venue hard to find down a back lane, the room smelled very bad of wet dog and there was a dog in its bed in the room. Poles were secure and safe and big bits of foam were placed on floor for safety. Never had any instruction just given a warm up to do the instructor Elizabeth obviously was more interested discussing a night out with some girls that had stayed behind from a previous class. No care and when questioned eyes were rolled and friends in the corner sniggered. The instructor is only young but needs to work on her business skills and her people skills. I would have attended further pole classes but I was very dissatisfied and me and my friend decided to go elsewhere
I've got two reviews. One on Pole Secrets and one on City Point.
It's my first pole dancing experience and I purchased it via vouicher. it was super expensive even with the voucher, considering what this school offers. guess the price covers the expenses of renting such a central located venue.
There is one instructor whio is very nice and helpful however there are girls at different levels doing the class so it might be discouraging for those, who are just starting. Also it's hard for one person to be attentive to the entire group, so quite often participants end up being on their own most of the time.
I cant compare it to other schools, but hearing from the more experienced participants, it lacks organisation and quality, however I believe that one to one classes with the instructor, or in a smaller group on similar level might be beneficial.
City Point is one of my worst gym experiences ever! Reception staff is rude and generally uninterested and quite often talks to their clients with an attitude, unless its money talking. They flirt with men so often leave you there waitijg for them to finish, are misinformed and quite often say contradictory things just for the sake of talking. I would NEVER EVER consider joining this gym for this price with SUCH outrageous service. The only positive side of the gym is that their changing rooms are nice and well equiped, they offer laundry services and cleaners do a great job.
Been with Pole Secrets for a while, signed up to their monthly direct debit scheme. They deduct money on a monthly bases with not much contacts. Classes got cancelled on a regular basis then suddenly the venue got cancelled with less than a weeks notice.
Money carried on being deducted - no refunds offered.
Impossible to get hold of anyone. Now even phone number is removed from their website. No idea how to get my money back!
Avoid at all cost!
I have been to a few pole dancing schools in London (and one in New York) and I have to say the pole secrets is by far the best value. I have had several different teachers and they’ve all been nice, fun and make all levels feel comfortable. The students are fun too, they don’t take themselves too seriously unlike some other schools. Although I have had good teachers at other schools what makes Pole Secrets the best choice is how they allow you to make up missed classes. Now you can't take advantage as there are "rules" but my work sometimes takes over and I also had an injury that forced me to sit out of a few classes. ANY other school would not have cared and I would have missed several very expensive classes. Pole Secrets on the other hand worked with me...I actually felt bad how much they worked with! Pole dancing is an expensive hobby and the only way to get good is to practice but if you miss a few classes due to the outside world taking over it can be a little depressing knowing that you wasted your money...the added comfort that pole secrets will at least hear you out and try to fit you in at another time is a HUGE comfort. This is one advantage of going to a bigger chain compared to the 1 or 2 studio schools. Btw- I love pole dancing now! I am finally getting half decent and have seen my abs and arms change shape (for the better ;-)....enjoy spinning!
I joined pole secrets many years ago & I have them to thank for helping me in many ways. They treat each person with respect & as one of their friends. I grew in confidence & actually felt good about my body & me. The fitness side is amazing, great results & so much fun.
I stopped going because of cost but never went elsewhere, as I knew these guys maybe more expensive but my safety is guaranteed.
I went back few months ago & they welcomed me back with open arms. Payment wasn't a problem. The lady I spoke to was so helpful & set up a payment plan for me. Now I am addicted to pole fitness once again.
Really looked forward to this, but the inside looks cheap and it is not a boutique place. More of a backstreet gym, not at all the way is is described, it would be ok if they were more honest with their description rather than giving a dishonest description and the girls seemed far more into themselves than trying to help you. Not very friendly and welcoming and I was going to send business their way from my clients, but I would be embarressed to do that.
The experience with Pole Secrets has been a nightmare! It all started with a large booking for a hen party, when we turned up, the teacher had no keys to the building and was not able to contact anyone to get any in time. So the lesson was cancelled!!! As expected, that pretty much ruined the whole evening. However, we understand one off's happen to any business so gave them another chance to rectify the problem. When the lesson did go ahead (please note only when the one of the MDs got involved, the Co Owner was brilliant and enjoyed the lesson. So we decided to give their course a go! Only to find out that we were missold the package by one of the teachers. Not a fantastic start to the course. Then we were told that there were so many of us that we were given the Wednesday! When we went to confirm the start date (AFTER THEY HAD TAKEN THE MONEY), we were told that they didn't actually have a start date available so would call us when they did. Again different to what they told us before taking the money. We then had to chase them! The bookings lady was extremely rude and not helpful AT ALL! They sent a start time for the course that was 6:30pm when numerous previous conversations had discussed the need for a start date after 7pm due to work commitments and the travel involved. In total our group has spent over £600 with them and only when the MD has got involved, has anything been sorted!!!
from the start this company were a bad lot to deal with. As soon as they have your money they don't want to know. the course start dates don`t happen then when you try and contact them by phone they are aggressive , rude and anything to get you off the line. Amie normally answers the phone and good luck if you have a problem because you will probably get a mouthful. She was extremely rude and actually put the phone down on me more than once!! I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone!! Avoid them and go find some other company who actually provide you with a bit of respect!! Overall Extremely UNHAPPY!!!
